Ana had had enough of waiting. She was degrading faster than she thought and it wouldn't be long before she keeled over and all of this was over. It wasn't revenge she wanted, not really. Dying and leaving Dalia to suffer wasn't the plan. Sure, it would be a nice consolation prize if she couldn't get what she really wanted. But it wasn't the plan.
The old penthouse looked exactly the way she remembered: the weapons on the walls, the Praxian aesthetic mixed with modern design. No one was home when she unlatched the skylight and dropped silently into Mama's old sun room. She settled down in her spider form there for a bit, enjoying the warm rays of the sun and reminiscing. She had a few hours until someone came home, most likely. So she was going to make the most of it: do the things she had never gotten to do when she was a girl.
So Ana drank some of the wine in the kitchen and she put music on, cranking it up all the way to let it fill the house. She went up to the third floor, finally getting a glimpse of Malara's altar and the infamous circle bed. She went into her old room and Amber's room and Phaedra's room and just let her memories fill in the gaps. She felt embittered. Angry. How could they have just thrown here away like this? She actually almost hoped that one of them would kill her. Make themselves the undoing of their precious little Dalia.
