Lynn was excited, a little way too excited. They were happy that they were able to hang out with their two best friends again and was also happy that Destra friend was going to attempt teaching them how to be a dragon! Lynn wasn't sure if that was actually possible yet but they wanted to at least try anyway. Aaand even if Lynn couldn't be able to shift they were simply happy just hanging out with Destra. It was a win-win situation really.

So here Lynn was in their male form waiting out on the field. They got here waaay earlier then when they were supposed to be but who cares about that?! Not Lynn nope. Excitement overload.

Maybe he'd dug himself into a bit of a hole here. Destra had offered to show Lynn how to become a dragon which... based off the powers Lynn showed him at the community center, may very well put it within the realm of possibility.

Then again, considering one of Lynn's siblings was a horse his father had gotten impregnated with. Considering his father was pregnant with him according to the Queene of Ebonyridge... yeah there was no doubt in his mind they were capable of this.

Lynn had beaten him to their meeting spot, seemed ready to go too. "Ah! Hey Lynn. You seem... well you seem really ready for this."

Lynn waved really fast at Destra once they saw him. "Of course I am ready! I am the most ready that I can be!" They placed their hands on their hips and puffed out their chest.

"So what shall we do first Destra friend? Are we doing meditation or are you teaching me dragon stuff? Like um..." What do dragons do anyway? Fly around, breath fire, and loud roaring? Lynn could probably trying doing that if he was able to shift. "I don't know! Just tell me what to do and I will do it!" Or give their best attempt at doing whatever it is they needed to do.

Well not everything anyway. Lynn can't just shift on spot.

Well that made things a bit complicated. Then again, he was playing teacher here. There was a moment when Destra considered making Lynn do stupid things to warm up. He thought better of it though.

"Really the first thing I guess I need to know is how exactly your shifting works. Pinpointing that, and working from there is probably the smartest way to go about this."

"Oh yeah! I can explain that I think..." Lynn tapped their chin with their finger as they tried to gather their thoughts. It was kinda hard to explain or explain it as simple as possible. "Well um...I don't think I can shift into regular animals."

Lynn scratched their chin. "What I mean is I can shift into a lamia, mermaid, and pegasustaur. It's partial shiftings as Mr. Henghai said." Lynn wasn't sure if that explanation made any sense to Destra. They reaaaally wasn't sure on how to properly explain their newfound power yet. "Oh and I just visualize and image in my head and my body begins to glow and shift."

"So what you're saying is you need a clear picture of what it's like to be a dragon?" Even if it wasn't a full shift, something dragon-like would still be something impressive. He had to think of what to say to Lynn regarding this. The feeling was there but the words were not.

"To be a dragon..." Destra started. This was such a strange thing to describe. It wasn't ever something he'd thought he needed to explain but he'd try for his friend. "You're powerful, and you know it. You're not afraid of anything and you don't have any doubts about yourself. And everything you see is yours, the land, the sky. And no one can tell you otherwise."

Destra just looked at Lynn hoping that helped somewhat.

Lynn listened to Destra explain what being a dragon was like. This...wasn't exactly what Lynn meant but this was still important enough to hear too! Well Destra seemed to think so and so Lynn thought it was important. They just nodded their head when Destra was done and stared at him for a bit. "I don't know if I'm..."

Was Lynn truly any of those things? They weren't really sure to be perfectly honest with themselves. "Um, I don't think I'm powerful? I-is that a problem?" They scratched their chin. "But I want to be! So I can help my friends more!" They gave Destra a determined nod.

"Then be powerful, you're a child of a god, embrace it like you never did before," it sounded more like a motivational speech, but who knew. Maybe it would work, hopefully it would work, because this would be really awkward if it didn't. They were only just starting out, he had other ideas in case this one didn't pan out for some reason.

"You can do this, I'm sure of it. Just... give it a try."

Powerful. A word Lynn honestly didn't think they were. They usually relied on their flute, Fygg, for most of their powers until recently. Lynn just nodded their head as they began to try to figure out things. "Embrace it?" How does one embrace it? Was there some certain way to do it or....

"Alright! I will embrace it! I want to get better with these things for you guys." They gave Destra a determined nod.

"I just uh....what does a partially shifted dragon looks like?"

"Well I guess if you mean a full hybrid form..." Desta shifted part way, he was a good two feet taller and covered in golden scales. He didn't sport full on wings, since his arms became his wings in his full dragon form, but they were notably longer. The lower half of his body was what had changed the most though, with his legs being clawed and more dragon-like, along with his tail.

"Something like this. Some dragons have wings separate from their forelimbs so... you know."
