Frankly, Auris was caught off guard. In all the years he had lived, all the fire magic users he had met, none of them could do this. Nether had the control, but his fire was never white. He should’ve been able to knock that girl far easily, even if it wasn’t with his robotic arm. But he hadn’t. Had his strength decreased...?

Auris decided he would stop assuming what these people were. It was clear now that he shouldn’t expect or assume anything. It had started to seem it could cost him his life. He could guess there would likely be an attack soon, but he was still partly distracted by the flames, and hit with sudden nausea. Has he broken his condition? But Sark’s speed and combat know-how would’ve easily made up for the difference in physical strength, even if Sark had slowed down.

Auris didn’t get an opportunity to think before he got punched directly in the back. He staggered forward a couple steps, coughing. He definitely used to be more resistant... “What... the hell... did you people do to me?” He turned to look at Dalia, a furious glare in his eyes. He wanted to destroy something so bad right now. But he had to focus on the fight. Now if he was his usual self then Auris would gladly start beating up a kid. But unfortunately Auris wasn’t exactly his usual drunk self.

He grinded his teeth. He just had to fight back now. Finally he flashed a grin, a wild look in his eyes replacing the cold fury. “Been a while since someone made me feel that, let alone a kid!” He pulled his left arm back and threw a feint. Auris had no idea what the white flames did, so he wasn’t going to go overboard before he knew. After his feint with his left arm, the more threatening robotic one, he threw his real punch with his right arm. If hit, it would only hit the arm and would barely nudge Dalia (it would nudge anyone else though).

The feint didn't have the effect Auris might have wanted. Feints and sneak attacks weren't really effective with her combat awareness active.

Dalia saw the punch coming and just grinned. This was gonna hurt, she wagered. She saw it was aimed at her own arm and that just wouldn't do. Twisting herself with her superior agility, Dalia bent so that her face was lined up with the punch instead.

And hurt it did. Square in the face, Dalia got sent sprawling to the ground with at least a busted lip, maybe more. But Auris wouldn't fare any better. When he hit her, the flames that had spread to him from their previous contacts would leap up his body and strike him with the same force in the same spot he had hit Dalia.

The goddess wasn't down or out either. She'd dealt with worse sparring with her own mother. Or the time she'd gotten mauled by a werewolf. Dalia was back on her feet quick as she could, arms raised defensively and ready to counterattack if this guy came at her sideways again.

Anita wasn't the best at fighting others. She was small, and had very little strength, her main ability was only as strong as the people that let her. Anita definitely had room for improvement.

But she could appreciate it when others fought. The new guy and Dalia seemed to be almost equally matched. The New guy seemed to have a Marking ability, but he hadn't used it yet, that was curious. Anita wondered why someone would ignore their best shot at bringing down an actual goddess. Maybe he was an Idiot?

Dalia didn't seem to be doing any better either. Why would she let herself be punched in the face? Anita moved a bit closer. Did she have soemthing planned?

Celeste's grip tightened on her niece's arm as she watched with great concern as one of the academy's students got punched in the face by the stranger. Granted, Dalia didn't seem hurt too badly despite the vicious blow she had just received, however, this did not comfort Celeste as she watched them fight.

"It's okay, tante..." Zora said reassuringly as she glanced from the fight to Malara, Dalia's mother, and then back to the fight, flinching a little when the man hit Dalia. "Dalia can take care of herself," she added as she patted her aunt's hand which was gripping her arm firmly.

Auris only had greater reflexes and reaction times, he had no way of knowing the kid was gonna aim her face right into his fist. Frankly, Auris wasn't here to cause serious injury or death. Only to get whoever he fought to stay down. Since he'd been unsure of what the fire did, he decided not to get too intense. Looks like that plan went right out the window. As soon as Auris realised Dalia had moved so the blow would impact her square in the face, Auris tried to pull his punch but it was already too late.

Auris staggered back when the force hit him right in the face. He already knew it was gonna bruise like crazy later on. He only allowed a brief moment of surprise on his face, before he returned to his grin. "So the brat has a trick up their sleeve. Reflecting damage to your opponent, huh?" He tilted his head, his lip already busted up. Auris acted arrogant, he wasn't dumb. Only a few magic users in Terra could do something remotely similar, and it was a hard talent to master. Then again Auris wouldn't be surprised if Nether knew how.
Nether, with his dumb fire magic and all its dumb perks...

"Doesn't seem too efficient though. It's a full reflection, so ya still take the damage. A war of attrition." He spoke matter of factly as he regained composure, standing up straight. He didn't seem physically imposing, since he stood at average height with a pretty average build. But he was still toned, and showing the robotic left arm in all its glory. From how it was built, it was clear that it was probably not a good idea to get punched by it.

He cracked his neck, then his knuckles, although his left hand didn't really pop. "Let's make a bet, runt." Auris clenched both his hands into fists. He sprinted at Dalia, and threw a punch with his robotic arm right into her arms held up in defence. "LET'S SEE WHO CAN LAST LONGER!" He shouted with a laugh. The force behind the punch is strong. If Dalia dodged out the way, it would still be obvious from how the air moved.

Auris had considered, for a brief moment, to use his trump card. The critical mark. But he would only use it if the kid turned out to be a massive problem, and even then he would have to be careful because he had no guarantee that the damage wouldn't be reflected to himself. The critical mark allowed a lot of damage, but lasted pretty short and also meant Auris could get hit with it. He could only use it in certainty of victory.

Dalia grinned the same shit-eating grin that Malara did when she knew she had a fight in the bag. Like mother like daughter, both willing to utterly destroy themselves to see their opponent worse off. When Auris swing his metal fist with that bone shattering force, Dalia didn't zip away or over or around. She embraced the punch, leaning hard to her right so that his fist would impact with her left collarbone.

At the same time she electrified her right fist, meeting him with a similar punch simed at his ribs with fifty thousand volts behind it.

Dalia grunted hard with the pain of her bones breaking. She was definitely not using that arm for the foreseeable future. But with any luck, Auris wouldn't be using his either as the flames on him spread to his left shoulder and did the same damage back to him.

Sent spinning by the punch, Dalia gritted her teeth and stared him down. "You're just one more for the tally, asshole. One more motherfucker who got his ass kicked by a little girl."

Auris really had to bite back a very colourful string of curse words when the exact same impact hit him right in his left arm. His good arm. He knew what her tactic was, it was simple but effective. Take as much damage as possible so it gets reflected to the opponent. But then she also punched him right in the side. With some electricity thrown in. Wonderful. Auris was of course thrown back, his tank top singed and he would more surprised if there wasn't a wicked burn plus a broken rib from that. For others, they would have to begrudgingly admit the kid was good. But frankly put, this was not the first time Auris had been beaten by or a girl, or a kid, or both. Nor did he believe it would be the last.

It hurt, obviously. But Auris stood straight after having taken the hit. He had fought on after his arm got blown off, he could deal with this. He laughed. "I may be the God of War, doesn't mean I have honour, kid. Who cares if I get my ass kicked by a little girl?" He shrugged with an easygoing grin. He was actually being quite genuine. He tentatively moved his left shoulder, but flinched. He'd maybe be able to get just about one punch off, but it really was out. Still, he wasn't exactly weak with his right arm either.

He decided he'd grab whatever was nearest and throw it at Dalia. Unfortunately, after Dalia had punched him, he'd been thrown closer to some civilians. Auris didn't really pay attention to what he grabbed, he just did. Conveniently, he grabbed the arm of a nearby kid with his right hand. Then with some good force, he threw Anita right at Dalia. Thankfully not hard enough to cause any severe injury to either child, but definitely scrapes and bruises.
Plus a handy distraction.

Auris really was a being who cared little for honour. He may be a war god, but war doesn't mean honour. It means being one the ones alive at the end. Auris needed to back off and figure out why his abilities were being... messed up. A sudden wave of nausea only emphasised his need to get out. After having thoroughly thrown a small child at another child, Auris started to back off until the damage also bounced back to him. He staggered a bit, grinding his teeth. Unlike other gods, he didn't have a regenerative factor or some high pain tolerance. He was completely human in that regard. Well he just had to grind through the pain then.
Auris started an attempt of getting away, but with the amount of people it made it a tad difficult.

(Aight, if anyone has been waiting, rubbing their hands together, to throw a cop in, you are now free to do so).

He'd thrown a child. A child. Just picked up and tossed a child. Angelo had already been on his way (how could he not be, with such a massive scene being made), and had arrived just in time to watch the man--obviously the person they'd got the call about--just pick up and throw Anita.

Threw them right towards Dalia.

Alright, that was enough. Normally Angelo favored the slow, measured, diplomatic approach. Instead, he left the everyone back up! shouting to the cops coming in behind him who were focusing on crowd control.

Angelo, on the other hand, vanished. Anyone paying attention might have seen a glimpse of him--he was pretty obvious with his mane of hair--and then he'd simply be gone the next time he looked, blending perfectly into the chaos of the situation.

The guy was strong. Angelo knew that in a way that he shouldn't be able to, and that meant he was going to have to go balls to the wall from the word go.

So he did.

Angelo would--fully invisible--just go for it. He had his power cancelling cuffs, and he was going to just come out of nowhere, aiming to slap them onto his wrist and null his powers.

A lot happened all at once. Dalia saw Auris take the hit and get thrown backwards. She grinned until she saw Anita come flying at her. She cursed under her breath and tipped her human shape charm off. Four additional arms shimmered into existence. Dalia rushed forward and caught Anita, trying to protect her from any extra harm.

Malara had had enough of this though. Cops were showing up, but she could tell this guy was strong. Possibly too strong for them to deal with. So she was going to have to. Which was fine. She was three thousand souls strong now and she was going to give it her all even if he was stronger than her. She was wholly unaware of Angelo moving in to cuff Auris.

Lengthening Ecstasy's handle so she could wield it with two hands, Malara rushed forward with inhuman speed to try and hit this motherfucker in the stomach. If he was still standing after that, well, she'd have to try to crush his head.

For someone that knew the dangers of running into combat, she was actually surprised when she was thrown.

She was watching the onlsuaght, when for some unknown reason, The man grabbed her arm. Wait, did this make Anita a distraction? She hated being that.

Landing in Dalia's arms, her momentum was quickly lost. Rather than get out of her arms, she instead stared at Dalia. "Is this the part where you say a cool line, Kay?"
