Frankly, Auris was caught off guard. In all the years he had lived, all the fire magic users he had met, none of them could do this. Nether had the control, but his fire was never white. He should’ve been able to knock that girl far easily, even if it wasn’t with his robotic arm. But he hadn’t. Had his strength decreased...?
Auris decided he would stop assuming what these people were. It was clear now that he shouldn’t expect or assume anything. It had started to seem it could cost him his life. He could guess there would likely be an attack soon, but he was still partly distracted by the flames, and hit with sudden nausea. Has he broken his condition? But Sark’s speed and combat know-how would’ve easily made up for the difference in physical strength, even if Sark had slowed down.
Auris didn’t get an opportunity to think before he got punched directly in the back. He staggered forward a couple steps, coughing. He definitely used to be more resistant... “What... the hell... did you people do to me?” He turned to look at Dalia, a furious glare in his eyes. He wanted to destroy something so bad right now. But he had to focus on the fight. Now if he was his usual self then Auris would gladly start beating up a kid. But unfortunately Auris wasn’t exactly his usual drunk self.
He grinded his teeth. He just had to fight back now. Finally he flashed a grin, a wild look in his eyes replacing the cold fury. “Been a while since someone made me feel that, let alone a kid!” He pulled his left arm back and threw a feint. Auris had no idea what the white flames did, so he wasn’t going to go overboard before he knew. After his feint with his left arm, the more threatening robotic one, he threw his real punch with his right arm. If hit, it would only hit the arm and would barely nudge Dalia (it would nudge anyone else though).
