Fitz chuckled a bit. He could tell that bring cooped up didn't exactly suit Shay. But he was also relieved to hear about the pregnancy thing. "Tha's good t' 'ear. Wouldn' wan' ye bein' all preggers in 'ere. Too much stress can be bad fer ye like tha'."

Shay's smile wavered. "Yeah. That would suck." She cleared her throat. Though about old contacts and money and anything that could help. Shay hated feeling so useless.

"Talk to Malara Tor, if you haven't already. She might invest if you can convince her. Owner of Theia. You might be able to interest Donny, too. Depending. And if you need, most of my savings from the Rosales is in a savings account."

Shay bit her lower lip, annoyed at this no touching rule. Again she forced herself to smile.

"I love you too, babe. Don't forget about me out there in the big scary world." She kissed the tips of her fingers and blew it at him. "Make me proud and behave."

Were people giving her shit? They barely knew what she did. Shay was already well known, specifically in the underworld and among the younger kids. She shrugged."Nah. I'm in the 'not considered dangerous' group of kids. Besides, even if they were I'd just punch them," she grinned, "or throw up blood like the zombies from 28 Days Later. That would creep people out." She laughed somewhat sharply.

"It's calm in here. Kind of like being in a hospital, actually. I don't talk to people and I'm not making friends. I'm just behaving so I can get out early."

Her grin was completely genuine and stress-free now. "Me, outrun you? Couldn't manage it." She paused, feeling their time together slipping away.

"I guess we can think of it as a fun.. little thing. For a month I'm just yours." She laughed humorlessly, suppressing the urge to lunge at him and kiss him with all the passion her broken body could manage.

"Fitz," she wanted to say Derry but she wouldn't here, "I really am sorry. For putting you in this position. Having to choose between your principles and me. I know it can't be hard to forgive me."

Shay threw her arms around Derry's neck as they got up to depart and he'd finished speaking to a well-hidden camera. She kissed him as fully as she could, pushing near enough to feel the beating of his heart.

"Eh, they need to rehabilitate me anyway. I think a kiss is one good way to start."
