His eyes fluttered opened and small moan escaped him. James had a hangover, wasn't to bad of one, but it was there, and it of course hurt. Pulling the pillow from under his head to cover his face in order to shield his eyes from the light.

Despite not getting a good look at his surroundings he could already tell it wasn't his room. While his enhanced senses were a pain when they originally appeared, he'd sense discovered how useful they were. Like now, he could tell by the sounds and scents that this was Nyota's room.

He heard movement on the other side of the room, he let out some sort of grumble/groan greeting toward Nyota without taking the pillow off his head. @Pallas

Nyota stood over her friend and lightly shook her head, letting out a sigh as she looks down to her friend with some pity. Only some though, for they both well knew that his fault that he got himself into this position.

"Still hungover James? You have been sleeping all day you know... its almost noon you know." remark Nyota, wearing nothing but sweatpants and a blue t-shirt with Spock in the middle. "I would feel sorry for you... but lets face it... we both know that your sorry state is your own doing."

She lets out a chuckled snort, then moseys over to the kitchen area of the dorm and search through the cabinets. She scans through the assortment of cups and mugs until she spotted a bright red cup with the Enterprise emblazoned onto it. As she stands on her tippy-toes to reach the cup, she called out to James from the other side.

"Know any hangover cures? I hear doing lots of cold water or coffee can help... but I wouldn't know for I am not the one who gets shitfaced." spoke up Nyota with her daggered words.

He grumbled at his friend a bit as she started busting his chops over the drinking. Finally sighing, he sat up and pulled the the pillow off, "fucking hell, why is everything so bright?" James covered his eyes for a bit, before removing his hands to squint through the light, "not sure if..if this is the drinks or my new powers..or both. Oh...dammit to hell."

Stumbling to his feet he glanced around the room, "you need a housekeeper," he grumbled half joking. In truth a bitterness James had suppressed had recently started coming forward, "I've only been drunk like..two...three times, so no I haven't investigated possible hangover cures."

"Coffee would be nice though," a shadow tentacle sprouted from his shoulder and grabbed his usual mug, as well and handing Nyota hers. "And....thank you, for last night."

"Hey now! Is that suppose to me an insult? I don't think the room look that bad. I am have a bin to keep all of my dirty clothes in too!" protested Nyota as she as she takes two ceramic mugs from out the cabinet and spun on her heel to glare at her friend. Her eyes quickly scanned the room and could see what meant; her clothes pile stood half a person tall, her desk was a mess with scattered papers, and she just remembered that dishes have been sitting a few days unwashed.

"Ehh... well I think its fine but if you find it bothersome you can always do the housekeeping yourself." she suggested as she curled her friend a smirk. She walks to counter and sets the mugs next to the coffee machine.

"Alright then, two cups of coffee coming up." announced Nyota as she takes the coffee pot and carries it over to sink to fill with water. As she waits, opens another cabinet and eyes two coffee canisters; one medium roast and the other dark roast.

"How you like your coffee dork? Regular or black?" she hollered from across the room

"I take it black," he said, taking a seat on the bed. Grumbling he sprouted a couple of shadow tentacles that started picking things out and generally tidying the room up while his hands rubbed the temples of his head. "I'm actually not sure if this is a hangover....I didn't drink that much." Sighing, he leaned back and closed his eyes.

"So...uh...," he cleared his throat, trying to find words, so much stuff had happened to him in the last few months, "last night was....something." He took a breath, the headache continuing, he was looking a bit pale, his health was probably not the best given the recent drop in his lifestyle.

"You uh....you came looking for me," he looked to her, his eyes a little red, "thank you." Nyota was his best friend, she was one ofthe few people he was comfortable talking to when things are bothering him.

"Black huh? Good choice." approved Nyota, pulling out the the container of darker roast coffee and collected the now filled coffee pot. Now holding everything she needed with her one arm, as strides back to coffee machine. She pour the water into its holding area, put the filter in place, and measured out the coffee grounds. Once the machine was set up, she selected the coffee settings on the display and began the brewing process.

"Yeah yeah... I'm sure thats the excuse all of the hungover people. Anyway, coffee's brewing. Now we just wait until it finishes." stated Nyota, her eyes looking up James as he cleaned up her room. "Ah dude... I was joking. You don't have pick up my shit. You can... you can just go back to sleeping pretty if you want okey? I can take care of my own shit." protested Nyota, she really didn't think he would actually clean up her room but now was put in that awkward position to start tidying up her mess. As she rushes over to tidy up her room

"And yeah... of course. No problem dork." spoke Nyota as she flashed him a smile before resuming her long overdo dorm clean-up. "Just doing what any good friend would do when they are worried... right? Like I said... don't make it a habit."

As she clutches the garbage in her hand returns to the kitchen to toss it int he garbage, a thought came into her mind.

"Last night was... something. You were sort of out of it... do you even remember most of it? It is it like some haze to you?"

"I sorta remember, you found me leaving that club," he scratched the back of his head and stretched, his hand rubbing his face a little. "It was...gods it was late wasn't it," there was a bit of a haze, but he could remember a bit. "I...uh....I guess I was really out of it," he couldn't really remember how long he'd been wandering around last night.

"D-did..," he was interrupted by a coughing fit, and did his best to stop it. "Sorry..uh...did I say anything last night?" he was afraid of asking, he'd been an emotional mess for a while, so who knows what he said while drunk.

The last few months had taken a have toll on his emotional health which in turn had taken a toll on his physical health. All in all, he was a bit of a mess.

"Ehh... just some drunken nonsense but nothing too embarrassing if that is what your worried about. Droning on about feeling lost and asking me why it is I am your friend so I gave you a frank response. Do you really not recall that?" piped Nyota, sounding a little dissapointed before letting out an annoyed gruff.

"Ehhh.... you know what? Whatever... can you at least remember why you ended at that club in the first place?" she inquired. There was... something up with her friend James but... what it was she wasn't sure. Was he just feeling mopey again or did something come that made him become depressing.

"Like... I can't imagine you just... bumbled yourself into that place."

"I remember...remember you saying that you're there for me, because I've been loyal to you," it was all blury, words faint, but he could remember quite a bit of what she said, "thank you." She'd been his first real friend, the first person he'd opened up to, he'd always been grateful to her, "I think I remember a tear being shed," he teased her a little.

"I....I don't really remember why I chose that club," it didn't really answer her question, he'd been wandering around because he was emotionally lost and broken. "Just...wandering around really," he scratched the back of his head, "I think it....sorta reminded me of home," Ashton City, a terrible place of crime and general human scum.

"Anyways...I-I'm ok," he lied, rubbing his temples, trying to get rid of the hangover and not think about everything that's happened to him. "So...uh...we gonna watch that new Star Trek series or...uh...," he sighed a little, as more pain shot through his head, his attempts at changing the subject was a poor one.

Nyota widens her eyes and blushes a little though she adverts her gaze from him. Naturally she didn't want her best friend catching her rosy cheeks.

"Oh... of course that would be the ONE thing you remembered..." said Nyota out loud as she faced the wall. As she let out a sigh she glanced over the coffee machine, its splendid dark brew now ready for the two of them to drink.

"Ah... coffee's ready." remarked Nyota with a small cheer, fancifully pouring out equal cups of dark coffee for the two of them. With their drinks ready, she sets the coffee pot back in place and mosey her way over to James and offers him a cup.

"Star Trek huh? Thought you never ask!" piped up Nyota, a bit relieved that James changed the subject for she was still a little embarrassed about shedding a tear in front James... not that she cared or anything. Its just... showing tears were a sigh of weakness... and she did not want to come off that way in front of James.
