It wasn't that Alby actively sought out danger. It was just a coincidence that dangerous areas usually had the most interesting things going on. At least that's how Alby considered it to be.

He smiled gratefully when Eein agreed to training him, putting some thought into what he said about getting someone else to train him too. "Alright. I guess it's probably good to learn from multiple sources too."

Alby paused for a second before changing the subject with a question for Eein. "You have a job? Where do you work?"

Alby listened with interest as Eein explained his employment situation. One of the most peculiar things about Manta Carlos and the supernatural, at least for Alby, was the fact that powerful fantasy creatures could be doing things like working ordinary jobs. It made sense of course, but it was still just not how he expected it.

"Not really, I'm pretty well off right now. I just didn't know you had a job. I'll have to come visit sometime."
