Aedan ran along the rooftop, the suit felt good, it was made of a good light material with kevlar on the chest, it didn't impede his movements, the mask had no eye holes, yet he could see fine and it coveres the glow of his eyes, he'd installed a voice modulator into the mask to disguise his voice. His sword was sheathed on his back, he had throwing knives in his belt, he'd aodified his grappling hook to where it was mounted on his left arm. He was ready, it was his night.

His nose twitched under the mask, a group had mugged and badly beaten an old man, he'd been tracking the thugs over the last few blocks. He halted as there scent increased, he looked over the edge, his night vision lighting up the alley below. He saw them, they were arguing over the stolen money.

He dived over the edge, as he neared the ground he wrapped his arms around two of them bringing them down with him, the impact rendered them unconscious. He rolled, punching the side of the next thugs knee, and cracking sound rang out as it dislocated, he went down scram. As a he rose from his crouch a fourth man man came at him with a knife, he caught his wrist, Aedan brought struck the to the face with open handed strike, the man fell back, unconscious his nose broken. He turned to see the last man running, raising his left arm the grapple shooting out, the end passed the criminal and stick into a wall. The grapple gun pulled Aedan forward, he brought his fist into the man's head as he passed. He landed and retracted the grapple. He looked at his handywork, five thugs unconscious in less than a minute, not bad.

Shay wasn't often out late at night. Not anymore, since she'd been living with Klaus and Vito. Now she was under the care of responsible adults and traveling willy-nilly all throughout the night wasn't permitted. With that said, her dance class had run late that evening and Shay always had one of the gang members watching from a distance. Also, Vito had a tracker on her phone. Those, mixed with the power the name 'Rosales' carried, she was pretty damn safe walking around Downtown at night.

As was common for the half-reaper, Shay was drawn to the mugging. She knew she was being taken somewhere, but she wasn't sure where that was until she got there and saw what she saw. She couldn't bring her dagger or gun with her to dance class, but she still reached for the place she kept her gun tucked away in her waistband. When she didn't feel the comforting metal, she winced and gave a soft curse under her breath.

Five bodies (six if you counted the old man), and one man standing among it all. Shay ducked around the corner and crouched behind a dumpster to remain hidden. No way was she going to approach that. She was steady because it was not the first or last time Shay would encounter dangerous people. She was drawn to them and them to her.

She opened her phone, dimming the light, so it didn't show in the darkness and set it to record before tucking it into her waist back to keep it primarily hidden.

His nose twitched again, someone was near, whoever it was, they were young. They smelt of an odd mix roses and death. He blinked a few times activating his night vision. He looked around the alley yet saw no one. He doubted hed missed a thug, but he followed the scent just in case. It brought him to a dumpster, he cocked his head. Reaching out knocked on the side of the dumpster. "Come on out, I wont hurt you." He didn't want to scare whoever it was, but he had to be careful.

Shay felt trapped. Behind a dumpster with some man knocking on it and telling her he wouldn't hurt her. HA! Right. That's what all the fuckers said. But they'd hurt a cute, young girl. Lost and alone at night. Wouldn't they? She crawled to the other side of the dumpster and slipped out from behind it, creeping along the wall in the hopes that the alley didn't lead to a dead end.

The old man who'd been beaten up was still breathing, and now, he'd curled in on himself and was crying very lightly. Shay hadn't even realized until she was an arms reach away from him. Damn her good-naturedness! She wouldn't leave him here. She stealthily moved toward him and laid her hand on his shoulder. She put her other finger to her lips to silence his surprised intake of air.

Aedan smiled behind his mask as his night vision picked up the kid going to the old man, a good kid. "It's all right, I came to help him." He approached slowly, leaning over to check the old man's pulse. "If you have a phone, call the cops and an ambulence. Wed better not move him, he may have eternal injuries. Sir?" He was trying to keep him calm, "everything is going to be ok."

Shay glowered at the man as he came closer to them and she found herself growling. Legitimately growling. She longed for the weight of her gun. The safety it brought. Luckily, Shay always had a member of the Rosales gang following her at all times.

He looked at the kid, "listen, this man is badly hurt, call an ambulence." He refocused on the old man trying to keep him calm. The man seemed to fade, "ah hell..." He started performing cpr on the man. "Come on old timer don't die on me," his hands pumped the man's chest until his eyes opened again and he started breathing.

Shay wanted to fight about the idea that she would have a phone. Instead, she pulled it out, turned off the recording and dialed 911. It wouldn't take long for the ambulance to get there, or the police for that matter.

She stood and ran down the length of the alleyway, stopping to draw a large arrow with a "911" written above it on the wall outside the alley pointing inward. No way was Shay sticking around for the police and their report. If she gave her name, that would look like bad news.

With that out of the way, she quickly turned and went about working swiftly on her way, head down, trying to look inconspicuous.

Aedan watched her go, dialing as she did. He smiled, she sremedy like a good kid. He stayed with the old, keeping him calm. It felt good, helping people, he may never have his father's ability to make speeches, but he could do this.

He heard a siren, he saw the lights in the distance, the man would ok. He stayed a bit longer, once the police and ambulence got close he stepped into the shadows and grappled to a rooftop. He watched from there as the police arrested the men, and medics hauled off the old man. He'd done good, they may not put a statue of him in town hall, but he had done good. He fired his grapple to another building and was gone.
