Name: Veronica Clayton
Age: 16
Birthday: August 31st
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Class: High School
Grade: Sophmore
College Major: N/A (She's so indecisive!)

Appearance Description: Veronica has, simply put, a rather plain style. She likes wearing dresses and skirts, but the colors don't really pop at all. On the contrary, Veronica prefers rather plain and simple clothes, hoping to keep herself under the radar as far as she's concerned. Veronica stands at 5'3'' and weighs 132 lbs. Her eyes are a violet color, though in some lights they look more blue than violet. An odd blue, but still. Her hair is also a dark blue! Or at least it looks like it. Of course, she died it that way, but she isn't even sure what color it is. It was honestly supposed to be a blonde, but she liked it anyway. Don't ask her the story of her hair, it was one of her dumbest moments ever.

Expressions: Veronica has a mass amounts of expressions to her disposal, especially since the stronger of her two powers are directly attached to emotions. She has a lot of rolling eyes, arched eyebrows, and mischievous smirks. Veronica makes it really clear that she is one ready to cause problems.

Personality Description: Aside from her powers of Empathy and Telepathy, Veronica is a Plain Jane. Nothing about her really stands out outwardly, and she likes it that way. She's the type of individual that blends into the crowd, someone most would overlook. Veronica is much more of a listener than a talker, but if you end up getting in a conversation with her, she'll talk your ears off. She doesn't really interact with others much, and is in fact socially incompetent.

Veronica is used to a place full of normal humans with normal abilities (except for herself, apparently). A scenario like this makes her less than settled. Actually, she cried when she first found the school. Yeah. She screamed, fell on her knees, and ran away to find a place to cry. Now she's in a place where she doesn't blend in so much. In fact, the features that one made her ordinary causes some species to stair in confusion.

Attention makes Veronica nervous, as does the strange. Despite dealing with having the Empathy power for two years, empathy is normal compared to some of the things she's seen in the first day of being here. She is a very intelligent, hardworking individual, who is more than willing to help others. She is capable of explaining rather complicated information and simplifying it so that everyone can understand.

She is willing to do the dirtiest of jobs just because someone asked her. Veronica doesn't even need a please and thank you, and she's the first to jump up and approach with a smile. Despite her lack of social competence, Veronica is a different person when it comes to those who ask her for help. She takes tasks very seriously and works as hard as she can despite the lack of ability she has.

Veronica is an incredibly sarcastic individual, and is very harsh in her opinions. She isn't afraid of hurting someone else's feelings, but regrets it later. Veronica has plenty of compassion, but that doesn't stop her from rolling her eyes at the ridiculous. She is a voice of reason as she feels like she's one of the most normal people in the entire school.

Powers: Veronica's powers are both connected to the mind in some way, but neither one of them can really cause any pain. They're both rather weak, and connected to emotions in some way. One is stronger than the other, but that's because one is newer than the other. She was ten when she received Empathy, Veronica believes, but she was fourteen when she realized what it was. She received her Telepathic powers recently, and has yet to realize they even exist, really.

Empathy: Veronica had received her Empathy powers, or at least they appeared, when she turned ten years old. Her Empathy is the stronger of the two powers, but she only really has experience with it for two almost three years. Veronica's empathy allows her to sense what someone's feeling and it's intensity. For now, Veronica is incapable of knowing what complicated emotions are, neither can she really get a good read when they aren't strong. She knows what it feels like, but she can't really tell what the emotion is. Not right away anyway. The biggest set back of this power is that she can feel someone else's pain at points. She is starting to be able to differentiate physical pain from emotional pain, but she is capable of being wrong or confused.

Telepathy: Veronica's telepathy is really weak right now. So weak, in fact, that she isn't aware that it even exists. She found the school when she received this power, and it only appears in her dreams. Sometimes she'll dream about an even that another person, someone she knows, has experienced. They are basically just eating ice cream or driving a car. She often wakes up from a rather strange expression, something that she has yet to understand. She has yet to receive this power while she is awake, but she will eventually see images and or hear voices, starting with people she knows. Eventually she will be able to get images and voices from people she doesn't know.

Species Abilities: Veronica is an average, hardworking, human student. Her special abilities only lie in her powers, her upper body strength (which isn't much), and her intelligence. Other than that, maybe... her resilience... I guess..?

Biography: Veronica was born and grew up in a rather quaint home in Trinity Alabama. At the age of ten, she received her Telepathy powers, or at least they were no longer dormant. She only became aware of her powers at the age of fourteen, and that only happened when she felt her father's headache. It bugged her for hours, and it was hard for her to hide it, but eventually she found out that her parents just thought it was a coincidence. Eventually, when there was hardly any proof of it, Veronica, too, thought her Empathetic powers weren't real.

Two years later Veronica started receiving some rather strange dreams from her little brother. She was dreaming of a time when they were all at a beach and he almost drowned. Though, the strangest thing about it was that she was in his perspective, and saw herself screaming for her father to go and save him. Of course, she jolted awake, and shook any bizarre thoughts out of her mind, stubbornly set that there was nothing wrong with her. She may have been going mildly insane, but other than that, nothing was wrong.

It was that morning that she, unbeknownst to her, entered the landscape that was Starlight Academy. She had glanced around, witnessing all of the strange things pass by when she felt her chest clench. Veronica's expression was completely unreadable other than her bug eyes that grew to the size of saucers when she saw everything. When she finally realized what happened, she paused, took a deep breath, and let out a huge, shrilly scream.

After that, she ran off and hid behind a tree to which she cried to her heart's content. Then she went home, told her parents what happened. She became a student the next day... What? You honestly think she'd pass up an opportunity like this?

Additional Information: Veronica has many insecurities and is making a habit of using others' emotions to hide her own. Her best friend, aside from her brother, is a turtle she named "Friend". He is still named Friend to this day.
