Name: Ursa Osborn
Nickname: Ursa Minor
Age: Possibly thousands of years, but mentally and physically 8
Birthday: Unknown, but celebrates on October 15th
Gender: Female
Species: Bear/Demigod
Category: Student
Class: Elementary
Grade: 3rd
Appearance Description:
Her appearance itself isn't too intimidating, in fact most people find that she looks adorable like most children. Ursa takes the form of a normal adolescent girl, but there are hints of her other form, such as her bear ears and nub tail. Standing at 4'7, she is rather short for her age. While she doesn't look like she eats up to 30 pounds of food a day (which she actually does as long as there's food available), she is a little bit on the stocky side.

Ursa face has a slight resemblance to her cub form with her chubby rounded cheeks, button nose, and thick eyebrows. Her doe like eyes are almond shaped and amber, framed by thick lashes. She has an unusual birthmark shaped like the little dipper that takes up the majority of her left cheek, but no notable marks anywhere else. Her dark blue hair is ridiculously fluffy, reaching her chin and falling into many layers with streaks of pink, purple, yellow and teal hiding in the mess. Usually she wears her hair in two buns on top of her head to hide the bear ears, but she like loose pigtails as well.

She is not familiar with clothing, as she has been a bear for thousands of years, but is warming up to the concept of clothing. Like most students, she is often seen in her school uniform in which she wears normally besides the small hole cut out in the skirt for her tail. She tends to wear clothing that is loose and lets her shift to her bear form with ease, jumpers in particular are her favorite.

Her bear form is two feet shorter, but a couple hundred pounds heavier. She looks like a normal bear cub, dirty blond fur, sharp claws, rounded eyes, and a nub tail. It is similar to her human form, and while it be hard to tell that the two are the same being without context, it isn't a stretch either.

Personality Description:
Ursa is a tough nut to crack. She simultaneously acts like typical bear cub and typical child, for that reason she can be seen as quite an oddball. Besides her scruffy appearance and intimidating presence, she has the mannerisms normal child, with only a few exceptions such as occasionally walking on all fours, growling, and an unusual appetite. Ursa usually is in a playful mood, but her guard is always up, she avoids showing any sign of weakness or if she feels sad.
Like most bears Ursa is territorial, there is nothing she hates more than someone messing with her stuff or someone she cares about. She will snap at someone if they get into her personal space or touch her without a good reason. It's a big challenge to get in a close relationship with her with her bratty attitude and boundaries, but once she considers someone a friend, she will stay fiercely loyal to them until her own stability is endangered by them. Stability is extremely important for her, she will do what is necessary and adapt to situations if there is a chance of stability. Her time in the heavens was dictated by gods, now she just wants control in her own life.
Ursa is can be quite a bully as a result of her firm belief in social hierarchies, as most bears have them too. She has a tendency to look down on others who may be lower on the totem pole or humans, but also will be fairly respectful to people who are significantly older or more powerful than her. She enjoys messing with/pranking/belittling people who she deems as lesser. Ursa is ridiculously resourceful and crafted, so her pranks can get out of hand easily. These superiority issues of hers often to get in the way of potential friendships and rivals come a little too easy.

Though Ursa is a total brat, her confidence and strength make her a natural leader, she succeeds through sheer force of personality. She is a tad bit single minded, but only because she doesn't believe in doing something she doesn't believe in. She won't back down from an argument once it's started and can dominate a conversation. As a bear she didn't come across many challenges, so now she is actively seeking them. While she doesn't necessarily have bad intentions, there are a lot of things she needs to work on if she wants to make a positive change. She is a strong set of morals, but also misguided easily. If under the right influences, she could easily change for the better.

Species Abilities:
Shapeshifting: Ursa can shapeshift between bear and girl with ease, but has to account for the fact that she gets bigger as a bear so either has to ruin or wear baggy clothes when she shifts from girl to bear.

Immortality: Ursa can live for millions of years and won't age as long as she is in the heavens. However, on earth, she ages at a normal rate, but will eventually stop anywhere from her early twenties to late sixties.

Retractable claws: Can project and retract sharp claws for mainly offensive purposes. They are made of keratin like most animal claws so they are not the most durable and break off with excessive wear. Usually they are out, as that is the most comfortable and having them retracted can be mildly uncomfortable at times, but she has limited control over when they project or retract. She can use these claws to pick locks, climb by digging into surfaces, and tear, cut and impale things. Ursa does not have claws in her human form.

Enhanced condition: Ursa's fast, she can run more than 20 mile per hour and can outrace a horse. However, her stamina is lacking and she can't run nonstop for more than 20 minutes. She is also very strong, she can bend weaker metals, lift huge rocks, and dig deep into the ground. While she has no trouble lifting it, she grows tired of it within a minute or less.

Enhanced hearing and scent: She has the hearing ability similar to a dog and can hear high pitched noises that exceed human frequency range and sensitivity. Her smelling ability is extremely sensitive compared to a humans and she can bite on trees, branches, and grass to communicate with her ursine pals.

Weakness: Because her bear form is the one she is most used to, Ursa has terrible hand coordination and anything she writes or draws is incomprehensible. This may improve with time, but she'll never have the fine motor skills to become a talented seamstress, artist, or anything involving precision.

Weakness: Ursa has a tremendous appetite that doesn't change with her form. On an average day she can eat up to 30 pounds. As much as she loves pastries she is not meant to digest anything that is processed or something a regular bear couldn't eat.

Weakness: Her sensitive hearing makes very high pitched or loud noises unbearable and gets scared off by it easily. Ursa can't stand strong perfume or scents because of her sensitive nose. She also has very poor peripheral vision and cannot see things from very far away.

Weakness: Ursa hibernates three months out of the year, but she found a loophole where as long as she is in her human form she'll still be able to enjoy the winter months.

Weakness: Ursa can't stay in either her human or bear form for extended periods of time and must alternate. She tends to use her bear form at night during school weeks. If she is pushing how long she can stay in either form she experiences extreme discomfort and will revert to the one she hasn't been using as much. Even in hibernation, she still has to alternate between human and bear forms giving her a limited time she can be out and doing stuff.

Powers:
Healing: Ursa has basic healing abilities, she can accelerate anything that normal healing would do such as healing cuts, bruises, and light burns. It is rather weak and she can only do it at night when the stars are up. She does not get physically worn out by it because it isn't much.

Biography:
Ursa's story begins thousands of years ago and with her mother, a beautiful girl who caught the eye of a sky god. They eventually hooked up, but little to her mother's knowledge, the god actually had a wife, one who was unfortunately well known for being extremely jealous and rash to make the matters worse. When his wife discovered that Ursa's mother had given birth to a daughter, she knew that her husband was the father and boy was she angry. As punishment, she changed the mother along with her daughter into bears so that she would no longer be beautiful.

Ursa spent her early years as a cub with her mother. They acted like regular bears for the most part, except there was a tiny sliver of humanity still left within them. She was never told about being a demigod or exactly what made them bears, but she still understood that she was originally a person. Though it would be hard, her mother tried to teach Ursa to the best of her ability about human life. They communicated the same way that most animals do, nonverbal cues were their best friend, especially when it came to interacting with other animals. While she was closest to her mother, she still made an effort to connect with the other animals in the forest.

One day they came across a hunter, Ursa being overjoyed to see someone of her 'kind', ran up to him, not realizing that her being a bear would be an issue. Terrified of the cub bolting towards him, the hunter shot an arrow at her, but before the arrow could hit the kid, her father stopped it and took them to the heavens to prevent anything worse from happening.

She would remain a bear cub in the heavens for thousands of years, never aging or changing in any way. Life in the heavens was dull and repetitive, they were expected to live as bears, not people. While being a bear was all she had ever known, she wanted to experience life as a human.

Both she and her mother tried to stay out of site of the jealous goddess, who would catch wind and ban them from the ocean. Though it was a mild inconvenience for the bears and their travels, it wasn't enough to satisfy the goddess. Fast forward a few centuries, she has a new scheme to get under her mother's skin. She decided to separate the two, changing the cub back into a kid like Ursa wished. Little did she know that the kid had a bit of the heavens back within her, she still had a few not so human abilities that would come to her aid.

While the goddess expected for the kid to die within a few days and cause heartache to the mother, Ursa was surprisingly successful at surviving. Ursa had a pretty good time despite being left to fend for herself, she made allies with other woodland creatures and quickly grew to be at the top of their hierarchy. She really enjoyed the freedom and even went out of her way to learn about human culture and educate herself by any means possible.

Of course her happy days would soon come to an end. Ursa noticed that many of her friends were being killed by hunters for fur and meat and her forest being torn down. Her admiration for humans was quickly shattered. She started to take a few as hostages, demanding that they stop, but with no success. Men mysteriously disappearing quickly made it to national news. A scout was sent to Canada to see if something supernatural was behind it, turns out it was. She was taken to Manta Carlos to be rehabilitated to be a functioning member of society and to keep the hostage situation from happening again. Ursa has been in rehabilitation for two months and is now ready to attend school with her peers.

Additional Information: Ursa has a mild Canadian accent and can be bribed with honey
