Elisa had been thinking about it since Jude talked about it in the community centre, and had even did a bit of research. If she was to trade granny, her regalia with the ability for give superspeed, then she was going to make sure that everyone was going to be happy.

She had talked it over, and while Granny had been a little sad, she had eventually agreed. The woman knew what kind of a person Jude was, and knew that if Elisa thought she was a good person, given her new sense, then he had to be good.

All that left was for Elisa to call him. Dialling his number, she waited for him to pick up, and when he did, asked him. "Hey, would you mind trading regalis? I have a nice old lady that can give you superspeed in return for photosynthesis."

Arranging a location, she was at the fountain where Jude had found out about her identity. Good times. Granny was there with her, reading a magazine on a nearby bench, as they waited for him to arrive.

A super speed granny? That was, uh, unusual. But it was as good an idea as any, and Gyan seemed keen on the idea.

"You sure you're alright with this?" Jude asked Julia as they headed to the fountain. She nodded enthusiastically, flashing Jude a thumb's up.

"No no, it's fine," she said. "I totally get it. Like, you're pretty cool and all, but I get why you wouldn't exactly want to be solar powered."

Jude cringed. No, he definitely didn't want to be powered by the sun. That was great in theory, but awful in practice if, say, you didn't even sleep.

"Elisa," Jude called out when he spotted her. Not hard to figure out who the Regalis was, even if you weren't someone who could explicitly tell what someone's species was.

"So!" Julia said, heading directly for Elisa. "You're the one who wants solar powered blood?"

Spotting Jude, she waved. a nice way to acknowledge someone. "Hey Jude. glad you could make it."

Moving over to Granny, she put a shoulder on the Woman. "This is my regalis." Blushing a bit, she continued. "She likes to be called granny, so I'm not sure what her real name is."

The lady sitting down chuckled, patting Elisa's hand. "Oh, dearie. that is the only name you need to know me by."

Elisa laughed a bit. She liked the woman and would be sad to see her go. "So, um. Yeah, I'm trading her."

Granny? Just Granny? That was... kind of odd. Well, the island was pretty odd, but even by Manta Carlos terms it was kind of unusual.

"Well, it's nice to meet you," Jude said, sliding over and offering his hand. He'd never really liked his grandparents--he had more of a positive relationship with Gyan than he ever had with either of his own. He'd been raised to be able to be a good boy, to leave a good impression, and he did.

"So," Julie said, sticking her hand out. "Grab my hand, we can repact, and get going."

"Short and sweet." Granny nodded, taking Jude's hand. "Such a nice young man you are."

Elisa herself nodded, accepting Granny's decision. Turning to Julie, she put her hand over hers. "I guess this makes us partners now."

Jude could work with nice young man. Granny seemed like the sort of stereotypical old grandmother who'd probably want to make cookies or something like that.

Largely inoffensive, probably pretty easy to please, and Jude had plenty of experience with that.

"Alright," Jude said. "Hopefully Julie and you get along." He added to Elisa. "I'll see you at council or something."

He'd help Granny up, and then he'd head back to class himself.
