This is quite...'not' interesting? It's just a sandwich store...

To be brutally honest, there were a lot of sandwich stores in existence. Countless. Too many. Some were absolutely delicious, some were terrible. Luna wanted a goddamn sandwich, so off she went...to a boring ol' Subway just outside school grounds. Nice.

Sigh. "This is just flipping great...He just HAD to want a sandwich from someplace halfway across town. Just great."

Luna went inside the tiny little sandwich/sub place to find it mostly empty. There was one or two people inside eating a sandwich, and there was nobody at the sub line where one chooses the condiments. So, Luna sat down on one of the stools and waited...

Vatar felt hot, this wasn't his ego telling him he looked amazing today because he already knew that much. He was honest to gods just tired of the heat that was killing him after coming from his small jog and getting everything he needed for graduation settled. He was finally going to escape the educational foundation that drained a lot of his home life was finally going to release him. Now he only had to worry about leaving his family and living at the Police Academy.

He sighed as he walked past a subway, staring at the sign. He wasn't fond of fast food like this nor was his fiance but he figured buying a few bottles of water was okay for him. He just really needed something to cool him down from the summer heat.

His body immediately chilled as he entered the A/C cooled business from the humid air. To no surprise this place was empty. Students were either going home or heading to class for the nocturnal classes. Normally this place saw a rush at lunchtime.

Walking over to the fridge he pulled out two bottles of water and gave the cashier the money he needed. With a wide spread of seats available, he selected a random one and ended up close to some girl. She wasn't anyone he noticed but he did notice she was just sitting there....Was that a thing kids did nowadays? Chill at a subway....Maybe she was waiting for someone.

He shrugged and tiredly cracked his bottle of water, taking in some relaxation.

It was so silent at the subway that when Luna heard the snap from someone opening a bottle she jumped and immediately looked in the direction of the sound. She was definitely surprised to see someone whom she assumed to be a student sitting near her. For a second she stared at him, noticing that he seemed to be sweating a lot, which explained why he was chugging water.

Luna was a little concerned about how sweaty he was. Sure it was hot out but still...Was he out for a run or something? In this heat?

"Hey uh, sir? You doing alright there? You don't look so good. Did the heat get to ya?"
Luna tilted her head to the left slightly, which is something she often subconsciously did when she is curious or worried.

Vatar noticed the girl jump when he snapped his bottle but she was so irrelevant to his current situation he didn't draw on it too long. However, when the girl spoke up to him he felt pressured to be cordial and reply to her. Besides, it wasn't like he had to be an asshole to everyone just because of the company he kept.

"Huh? Oh, I am just fine. It's just the heat really started to hit me after I finished my run for the day. Though I am grateful for your concern."

It was a nice gesture. Most people he met were pricks and saw fit to antagonize him over anything. He warmed up to the girl a bit and leaned up from his chair a bit and capped his bottle of water on the table.

"Are you alright? Strange seeing people just hang out in a fast food resturant.....by themselves that is."

He noticed a few more people entered behind him, but not enough to consider this place occupied. Were they her friends? No, they quickly ordered their sandwiches and waited to have their condiments chosen.

Luna smiled, glad that he said he was okay. Although she was still a little concerned, she didn't let it bother her too much. Luna was also smiling a little bit because of how this guy seemed mildly concerned for her as well. It's not often she meets nice people, seeing as how they usually fear her because of certain...things.

"I'm doing alright, thanks! I was uh, waiting for the cashier to come back to the sandwich line but I must've spaced out for too long to notice they've been back." Luna giggled a little at that.

She nervously looked toward said sandwich line and noticed the group of people that had just entered. "I'm by myself because I'm just grabbing a few sandwiches to bring to a uh, 'friend' of mine. They didn't want to come. They never do."

"Ah, I know that feeling......actually no....i don't. My fiancee usually handles my food situations but she is too busy worrying about other stuff."

Vatar reflected on how he missed his loves cooking and then realized he was astoundingly hungry. Maybe he should get a sandwich too? He shook the thought from his head and sat forward in his seat.

"Well anyway, that seems like a shitty thing to do. Sending a young lady off by herself to get food for the whole. Maybe you need better friends....or just to smack them around until they realize how rude that is."

Vatar gave an assuring nod to his own words then sipped his water again. His body was beginning to cool down a bit thanks to the A/C and water tag team happening on his body, but he still felt the strains of his body winding down from the run.

Luna nodded in understanding. A lot of people can be too busy to worry about the smaller things, like food. A fiancee being too worried about something else to think about food is nothing new. She knew it can be frustrating though.

"Mhm. I understand. I guess I'm a little bit different huh?

She looked away towards the sandwich line, thinking. Nobody was there again.

"My 'friend' saved my life...he lives with me now. I'm not sure if I can get rid of him that easily...Especially with how I am I guess."

Luna didn't think it was a good idea to continue. Hell, she barely knew the guy and she already told him stuff!

What is up with me today...
