Appearance Description: Theo stands at 5'11" with short neatly kept hair. His right eye is a natural blue while his right eye is red. At times that eye's sclera turns an unnatural pitch black. His other most distinguishing feature is the off putting vibe he has when around others. In terms of clothing he prefers to dress up in formal wear. There are those rare days where he’ll toss on a pair of sweats and a t-shirt.
Theo's eldritch form resembles his familiar Simon who has since fused with him. He is a tall ghastly creature wrapped in a cloak. the creature underneath is something truly unknowable.
Personality Description: He’s seen and heard things that would cause most normal people’s minds to break or even explode in some cases. As a result he tends to seem rather off in his interactions with people. When he’s alone he may be seen conversing with something(s) that only he can see. When interacting with other people, he tends to be very direct, showing little patience for any sort of melodrama and nonsense. He's the person who will hand you the truth no matter how raw or painful it may be. He’s a highly inquisitive young man and tends to go out of his way to seek answers to his questions on his own. Theo takes a rather Machiavellian approach to handling his business. He is as ruthless as he is spiteful. He's got the kind of potential to be a supervillain if he really wanted. With the exception of a small handful of people.If a person can even make it into that circle, then they've managed to make a friend for life. As for his hobbies, aside from talking to horrors he’s very much a bookworm, he also tends to wander around and be found in strange places.
Powers:
Ascended mind: Theo has the ability to see and interact with beings that exist on planes that most beings simply can’t see. Generally speaking, these beings are of the eldritch variety, though he can perceive ghosts and spirits as well. He cannot control these beings or impose his own will on them. He can however ask small favors of them which they may or may not accept. This ability also lets him notice any changes to our reality be it temporal or otherwise. He may not have the ability to stop these things he is however immune to effects they would have on him individually. Likewise his ability to perceive eldritch beings renders him immune to their mind breaking effects and auras as well. Whether this particular power will lead to a full ascension remains to be seen.
-Threefold mind: Since altering the nature of his bond with Simon and Alvin, Theo’s mind has become host to a sort of triple consciousness. Simon and Alvin serve as secondary and tertiary awareness within Theo’s mind, as their physical bodies have effectively been fused in a more refined manner. The simplest way of explaining this is like having three different people observing the same events simultaneously. The things seen and heard will be slightly different for each individual but together they create a more complete picture. The inner voices can also confuse telepaths by talking over each other, making it harder to sift through and perfectly read thoughts.
Species Abilities
Eldritch body: Simon and Alvin’s physical bodies have now been fused using Theo as the base since he was the host. For all intents and purposes Theo is no longer human, however he retains enough of his humanity that he’s also not a full eldritch being in spite of what his new powers make him out to be. Theo still remains the dominant mind and is therefore mentally still a human. His abilities are based on his original eldritch familiar Simon and are split into a more human form and a more eldritch form. Overall he’s still vulnerable to physical harm though he can heal from minor wounds within a few minutes. His reflexes have also become notably quicker, and can lift a small car. He’s still working on figuring out the full capabilities of both of these forms.
-More human: The only real initial sign that Theo's even changed at all is his left eye which is now red with black sclera. Theo now Has the ability to sprout up to six extra arms from his upper body. These arms are stronger than his human arms and extend down to the floor. From his lower back he can also grow up to eight tentacles. These extra limbs if severed simply retract and take up to 24 hours to regenerate. Similar to certain animals they will thrash about involuntarily for a few moments before effectively dying on their own.
-More eldritch: Theo becomes a tall imposing masked being in a long trench coat with no apparent limbs supporting him. Whatever is hidden within these garments is unknowable. True to his species whatever happens to be underneath can traumatize and/or break a person. He moves about like one would expect a ghost or a specter to move about likewise, chains clinking can also be heard when he does so. This form seems to be the other remnants of his original familiar, Simon however, it seems to be completely new. Theo’s scent is completely different when he is in this state. He cannot sprout limbs in this form, instead he possesses a pair of long barreled guns and generate several chains from beneath the coat. These chains can be used offensively to ensnare and flail or defensively by wrapping them around his body.
Biography: Born to a pair of researchers studying forbidden wisdom of unearthly beings, odd for most people was Theo’s normal. His mother was a powerful summoner with enough mojo to beckon and make contact with elder beings. His father was an ordinary man who had an experience with the beings when he was a teenager and thus became obsessed with learning more about them. His encounters with the weird ultimately led to the two of them meeting and falling in love.
The couple was soon married and had a son, Theodore. Probably due in part to the near constant exposure to eldritch beings and artifacts Theo’s personal brand of magic was purely passive in nature. He could simply naturally perceive things outside of the regular spectrum without any need for special devices. When he was five his parents managed to successfully bind an abomination named Simon to him in order to defend him against possible attacks from otherworldly beings and more earthly threats as well.
When he was nine his parents conducted a ritual to beckon and contact a much larger being. The boy was the only one who could see the disaster coming but the adults ignored him, insisting that they had enough safeguards in place and it would be fine. It wasn’t fine at all. As the being ultimately killed his mother, the beckoner with the sheer force of his emergence and overloaded his father with more knowledge than the human mind could handle. The event left the man somewhere very near a vegetative state.
Somewhere along the line Theo managed to make it to Manta Carlos where he was placed in the orphanage and allowed to get a proper relatively normal education.
