Kane was counting up the money he'd just won in a poker game. He had, of course, made a clean sweep. After all, knowing exactly what was in people's mind's totally gave him an edge. As usual, his face was impassive. (As for how a blind guy play's poker? We don't know.) He slipped the wad of bills into his pocket, and began to shuffle his cards again. He shuffled them expertly, in any way known to man, and then pocketed them too.

He pondered if winning poker was a good thing or not, but he was too lazy to decide. He removed the customary navy scarf from his eyes, revealing their shocking blue color. There was a thought in his mind about how Tear was doing, and he was a little surprised. He didn't usually think about other people. He rubbed the back of his neck and sighed. Winning poker didn't feel..right. Maybe he'd give away all of his money or something.

Tear skipped ahead of her cousin Eben, who walked slowly behind, taking his time, Tear at the moment could care less, she was cheerful at the moment. Why? No reason, but then the feeling of knowing Trephas was feeling really good, made her a bit happier. She twirled around, to see how far Eben was, but for some reason, he wasn't there anymore, like he disappeared. She stopped a moment, wondering where he went, but then remembered the library was nearby. Rolling her eyes, she turned around going towards the cafeteria again.

Once there, she slipped through the door, and noticed Kane. She walked up behind him. Moving quiet and slow, though, no matter what, she bet he knew she was coming, he was a telepath anyway. She then, poked him in the back. "Boo" She said playfully. She was in a unusually good mood.

Kane smiled. "Hi Tear." he said in his regular monotone voice, though somehow it was softened by his dimpled smile. He held out the bills of money to her. "I was looking.." he coughed, "Excuse the figure of speach, for someone to give these to. You want them?" he questioned, training un-seeing, violently blue eyes towards her. His face then went back to impassive, but his eyes were extremely expressive and made him seem three times more alive than when they were covered.

He turned his head from her and shuffled the cards again. Then he stuck them in the card holder and stuck it in the pocket of his jeans. He smiled lightly at her. (Again, don't ask HOW the heck a blind man plays cards. He just does.) And then he placed the blindfold over his eyes again.

"Hi Tear."

She smiled, and straightened, then walked about to face him, and then, he held money out to her, and she frowned slightly.

"I was looking. Excuse the figure of speech, for someone to give these to. You want them?"

Her eyes then grew wide. "What? I can't money from you. Its yours isn't it? Why are you giving them away?" She asked, then frowned once more, noticing she had asked a few questioned, then shrugged, and glanced at his bright blue eyes, and sighed, and took the money, and looked at it, then stuffed it in a pocket of her black cargoes.

"Thanks... so, what are you up to?" Tear asked, watching him shuffle the cards, then looked around at the crowds when he was putting the fold back over his eyes.

Kane smiled again. "You're welcome." he replied simply, sliding into a slouch, facing her. "I'm not really up to much. Just playing with my cards. And don't worry about the money. I give away a lot. I just don't see the point in keeping money when I can give it to someone else." he smirked then, tilting his head slightly to the side.

"So how's your control? I did tell you I'd help you." he quirked an eyebrow at her as he leaned forward, crossing his arms and leaning on the table.

She listened, and smiled. He was nice, to give away, though, Tear was one to sometimes save up money, even though, her family was pretty rich, but now that her parents were gone, they had to earn their own most the time, unless they ask the remaining family out there to help out. Then her thoughts went to the cards. She was terrible at card games.

"So how's your control? I did tell you I'd help you."

"Alright, I suppose, I can keep most control from the thoughts of all these people, but some seem to slip into my head." She said, shrugging. She needed more practice. She also wanted her powers stronger, after all, they weren't the strongest, they seemed to be only good for figuring out secrets.

Kane smiled again. Which surprised him. It was rare for him to do much of anything facially. "I know this seems strange for your situation, but the more control you have over your emotions the better control, and the more strength you have with telepathy." he rubbed the back of his neck. It was why he was so emotionally unresponsive. If he lost control of anything he lost control of his mind, which was horrible for him.

He was like the epitome of Zen. Or something like that. But at any rate, he had amazing control..most of the time. Just as long as he didn't get emotional.

She cocked her head slightly. "Hmm... I didn't really know that... I will have to keep that in mind, and try to control emotions more often. I always seem to burst out in tears all the time, losing control, ugh, how embarrassing it can be." She said, and gave a short laugh. She never really liked crying in front of people, and so far, she was doing that quite a lot lately. Maybe her emotions weren't just organized, she always lost control with sadness, sometimes anger.

"Yep... I will definitely work on that." Tear said, thinking about it again.
