Travis Ashe
Today was such a lovely day. At least, you'd think so if you weren't a mile deep into Manta Carlos Island's Forbidden Forest. Tall, looming trees reached up to the sky like skyscrapers and thick, gnarled vines raced up the trees, blocking out nearly every inch of sunlight. Most people, students and faculty alike, tended to stay away from the ominous forest at all costs. The spooky place had been known to cause disappearances, crazy noises, and of course, monster spottings.
Whether it be fortunate or unfortunate, Travis Ashe was not afraid of said forest. In fact, he liked to spend his time there quite a bit when he wasn't working. He found it was the best place to meet new animal friends, but also a great place to collect food for said animals. Often times, he would take a whole day an just recruit animals to come back to town with him and live with his pet shop. His abilities attracted animals, and they'd spend all day in a circle around Travis, listening to him tell stories of the human world and how great it was to live with one!
Today, however, was not one of those days. Little known to most people, there was a beautiful waterfall a few miles in to the forest. It wasn't very tall, but the sun always managed to break through the denseness of the trees and shine on it. Below the waterfall, was a pool of crystal clear water that Travis found acted different than normal water, and a lot of the animals he had at the shop really enjoyed it! OF course, there was a particular young jackalope that would drink nothing but the stuff, so it was his second trip there this week.
He stretched out his arms and appreciated a small breeze that blew through the trees. He turned and smiled to his faithful flare demon Coaliander, who was always at his heels.
"Ah, Coali, what a beautiful day for a walk, don't you think?"
