The Meeting Pt.2

Tech led Cassandra back down the way they had both come earlier, passing by the now melting ice path along the way.

Eventaully they reached his room, which he entered into it silently and quickly. Once he entered his dorm, he immediately began to gather gear and equipment together.

He moved through boxes of things and shifted through papers, trying not to make any noise so as to not disturb his the sleeping students in the other rooms. Soon he had put together a large machine that looked a bit like a MRI.

"Please lay yourself flat on this scanner." Tech requested, motioning to the large scanner. "I require a scan of your body's nervous system in order to determin whether or not if my idea will work." Tech hoped that his idea would prove to be a suitable solution to this girl's current dilema.

Cassandra slowly walked with Tech thought the school and her eyes examined the water of the melting ice as they walked past them. She sighed of course and did feel rather sad when she saw that....even the ice itself could be affected by heat and melt....it was going to be warm after a while inside. But she was not going to be that anytimes soon anyway. Her pale blue eyes glanced over at Tech when she walked, he was weird alright....and looked weird with that weird mask over his face, the lady could have no guess on how old he was, what he looked like under or anything.

Cassandra walked with him into the dorm and she made sure to look around so that there would be no other boys to see her there. She knew as much as that girls often did not come here.....or was it that they did come often? Well she did not really care about that.....it was there business, not like she ever could have someone to be close to...not as she was now anyway. She watched Tech as he began to work on his stuff and the girl did not try to talk with him while he was working, that would have been rude. She sat down on a chair and closed her eyes for a moment before she opened them again.

She listened to his words and then she slowly walked over to the stranger construction. She watched it for a moment and then she looked at Tech. Cassandra thought about it and then she nodded and slowly placed herself on the scanner just as he had asked her to do. She really did not have anything to lose with trying this. Things could not get worse as it was after all....anything would be better then to go around cold
all the time.

((That is no problem, I like you anyway....and Cassandra will still fall for Tech. ;)))

Once Cassandra had laid herself upon the table, Tech activated the scanner. A blue light went back and forth underneath her and then vanished. It then did it again, and again. It went on to do it five times until the device stopped and had completed its scans of the girl's body.

Tech looked over the data that had been recieved from the scanner and was greatly excited. His suspicion on the reason for her condition had proven to be correct! Apparently her mutation was the problem, it had altered her nervous system to the point that she could not feel anything but cold. Now Tech could try his experiment.

"You may get up now, I am finished. I am very pleased with the findings, it appears that there may be a chance to help you..." Tech brought up his mechanized arm and rolled up his sleeve.

A small holographic display popped up. It showed blueprints to a very large looking suite. "This is the first part of a Dole Battle Suite. In order to make their soldiers more effective, they made special suites that integrate with their nervous system. The suites alter what they feel, so that if they were to be exposed to excruciating pain, the suite would block it and the soldier would not feel a thing. This allows the soldiers of the Dole Empire to deal with pain that would probably kill normal beings. I plan to modify this design so that it will simulate a 'warm' enviroment. It will take me a short while to make this device, given my lack of proper rescources, unfortunately." The hologram then vanished and Tech lowered his arm.

Cassandra did not move and she calmly waited for things to be done, she did not like thsi very much at all but she stayed calm anyway, what need was there for her to be upset? If she did that she had no idea what her powers could do even with this little nice suit she had now.

As he said he was done Cassandra sat up and jumped down from the scanner, she was happy that it did not take to long. It made her nervous with that blue light moving back and forth. Her blue eyes moved to Tech and she listened to him as he began to talk about yet another suit thing. OKey another one? Not really what she wanted, to go around look like something from another planet. What she wanted was to be able to not have to use things in order to be able to be around others. She nodded a little at his words but she was not sure it was what she wanted, how could she ever be able to live a normal life? Her eyes glanced around the room for a moment before they looked at Tech again. "Well I guess it is nice if it could work, it is just that....well....never mind it was nothing"

Tech noted that Cassandra was upset about something, which baffled him. He had just come up with a possible solution to her problems, and instead of rejoicing she despairs? These earthlings were confusing to him... How ever did they manage to get things done around here?

Tech would once again have to investigate.

"Cassandra, you are upset? Please explain your concerns. I am unable to compute your reasons for being upset..." Tech just stepped over to another chair and sat down in it. Something told him that this was probably going to be a loooong night.

OCC: The device is not another suit, its something small that would go ONTO a suit. :P

Cassandra looked at him when he talked and she did not really know what to say, she thought for a moment and then she shook her head slowly. "No Tech, it really is nice and I am happy you help me find a way to not be cold." she said and forced herself to smile at him slightly. "I was just thinking of something else, that is all" she was not really sure what she would say to Tech? He had been so nice to her and she could not let him think she in any way was ungrateful.

Cassandra looked at him as he sat on the chair, then she sighed a little and sat down on the closest chair she could find, she examined her hands for a moment and then she nodded a little and glanced up at Tech. "Thanks Tech, it is very nice of you to help me like this, your the first person who have ever wanted to help me. Mostly people just run away from me." she then thought for a moment before she tilted her head to the side and examined Tech again. "Tech.....why do help me with all this?" she asked him, she was curious to know what reason he had to help her and all that.
