@Kaiyo
Did she even work here anymore?
It was a question that Aurora had tried to come to terms with since she had arrived back on the island about a month ago. There were new students, new teachers, new...everything. And for once, the mage found that she wasn't coping well with the change. Nobody knew her anymore, nobody cared, and she had let the relationships that she once held dear slip back to acquaintances. Aurora was going to live a long time, and yet that human part of her preferred the now. Maybe it was something she would have to get rid of.
"You are distressed."
Aurora was snapped out of her thoughts, and glanced over at Cytus, who was now staring back at her with quite blank eyes. The pair had been sitting in the admissions office for some time. Aurora visited the Aenari from time to time to check up on her while she did her work sorting through papers at a rate faster than most humans.
"Huh? No I'm no-- okay, I'm just a little. Nothing terrible though."
It wasn't worth trying to argue with Cytus. The lady was a natural lie detector, and even if you did, lying to her would have been pointless. Cytus, despite her young age was probably one of the best confidants that Aurora could ask for. She could easily keep a secret, and was as objective as any being she'd ever met. It was honestly the perfect combination.
"You have an appointment."
"What? No I..."
"A tour. To distract you away from your stressed thinking. Her name is Kaiyo Arashi. She will be here in a moment."
Aurora was in disbelief. If Cytus was capable of being smug, this would have been her way of showing it. Either she was playing a joke, or legitimately trying to help her out. Aurora couldn't be angry...it was probably the second.
"Alright alright. I'll do it. Be back in a bit."
Aurora walked out into the lobby in deep blue mage robes adorned with golden thread. The hood lay on her back, and her hair let down. It was the new year...it shouldn't be too hard to find a single student would it?
"Kaiyo?"
