Anna tilted her head at him as he shrugged in response to her question. Maybe he was a ghost and didn't know what a ghost was? "You know. A ghost. Like...someone who died and came back in the afterlife because their spirit can't rest for some reason. At least...that's what the movies all say. I've never actually seen a ghost before, but I'm pretty sure they exist. I like to think they exist."

She shrugged, "Well, whether you're a ghost or not, it's nice to meet you. Do you go to school here?" He probably should be going to school, considering he looked like an adult but didn't seem to be able to write properly. It was all backwards and weird. Like looking in a mirror. Maybe he was learning still? Anna wasn't really able to tell. He seemed pretty...juvenile, at least from his actions. Not that there was anything wrong with that. Anna was often mistaken for a child, herself.

Rori shook his head at Anna's explanation. He was fairly certain that he was not a ghost then. He'd never been alive before now, and he hadn't died since he'd come out of the mirror. He didn't even know what death was, really, except some of the people he'd talked to since his arrival had explained to him that it was a possibility. As far as he knew it was something like ceasing existence, which didn't scare him considering this was his first time existing. But it didn't sound fun either.

The boy didn't understand her talk of spirits and afterlife and movies either, but he thought that since it was all tied up in her explanation, maybe the terms weren't too important. He had no idea how to ask about them anyway. Once he learned to communicate better, he would probably ask everyone he met about every word he didn't understand. For now, it was easier not to. And he'd hopefully learn more just by being around people enough, anyway.

On being asked if he went to school, Rori nodded excitedly. The mirror spirit drew a building with a star on it and gave Anna a thumbs up. That was his way of drawing Starlight Academy. So far it had been the best thing about his new existence. Because he was learning how to write and read and soon being mute wouldn't matter as much. He attempted drawing a smiling stickman at a desk, but he wasn't sure the girl would understand how happy he was to get a chance at life.

Even if he'd still be alone, he really hoped that communication would help him connect with people a bit better. Rori wondered if she went to the school too - he pointed at the star-building and the question mark, looking at Anna to see if she'd answer.
