Vachal waited under some shadows of a hall that was partially outside leading into the courtyard, watching the sun as it started to set, once its light weren't as bad, he walked out into the open place, stretching as he felt the night slowly close around him. So much better then dealing with the sunlight. He lifted his hand where he had accidentally cut himself earlier, and though he was a vampire and he regenerated quick, it never fully healed, but now he watched it close up, not even leaving a scar, thankfully.

Val wandered around the courtyard, he found a nice looking tree, went over to it and leaned back, and slowly sat down with his back against the small tree, pulling out a pack of cards from his pocket and started shuffling them, the only sound was of the cards hitting each other softly. He liked shuffling cards, it almost seemed addictive when one was bored, though, he shouldn't even feel bored as a "child of the night" as other like to put it, which seemed like a stupid calling to him.

He felt hungry, he hadn't had fresh blood in forever it felt, but he knew not to take blood from students, even though he has, just not exactly on campus. He looked up a little, as he heard something, the steady sound of a human heart beating, but didn't pay much attention.

Sakura had just arrived at this school. She was still trying to learn her way around. That is why she decided to take an evening walk around the grounds. Besides, it was at times like this she enjoyed practicing her water abilities.

She opened up the bottle she had with her and with a motion of her hand the water came flowing out. The clear liquid hung in the air before her and moved gently with every motion of her hand. As she walked she moved the water around her and lead it in intricate paths.

As she kept walking she realized she was not the only one out tonight. She saw boy leaning against a tree. With an easy swish of her hand she sent the water back into its bottle and closed it tight.

She walked up to him and gave him a friendly smile. "Hello there," she said. Her English was perfect, but she still carried an accent. It was clear that she was not born in this country. "I see I am not the only one who likes taking walks at dusk. My name is Sakura Sumiko."

She gave him a small bow. SHe knew that her customs would like confuss many at this school, but that did not really matter to her. She would act as she always did, for that was who she was. Though she did know she would have to get use to many people addressing her by her first name, instead of her last at is was custom in Japan.

Val held a card up between two fingers, looking at the ace, before sliding it untop of the other cards. He felt like he was in his own little world, dusk always made him feel wonderful, but a voice interrupted it all, not that he minded. He looked up at the girl, letting himself smile friendly.

"'Ello." He said, standing up, as he put the cards into a pocket. "Not just dusk. I normally walk all night, well, used to, now I'm expected to sleep the night away and deal with lighter days." He sighed, his smile was gone briefly, but it came back, it looked more like a grin though. "Nice to meet you, Sakura Sumiko. I am Vachal Valoria."

As he said that, he gave a flourished bow. If only he had his cape then it would have been more dramatic like, then his simple dark jeans, white dress shirt and the loose black tie. He straightened, brushing his long black hair from his eyes.
