Alice heard Alex's voice against the echo of her surroundings and smiled, tired. It was becoming a fight to stay awake. "Thanks...for inviting me...take your time...there's no rush...just glad...you seem happier..." Alice started visualized strange things when she let the last of the blue light enter her sight. Donut pollen falling on blue grass. A pumpkin fishing on the rust-covered surface of Mars. Cream in tea, mixing, swirling, it became the Milky Way. Alice fished for the real words. Thoughts started but disappeared before materializing. Dark.

Alex was going to say something to Alice but she was asleep before she could even say anything. So Alex just sat there close to watching her chest rise and fall. What was she suppose to do now? She couldn’t just stay here the whole night and she wasn’t sure how long Alice would be asleep. So she just sat there, watching the sky threw the hole in the windows and resting her head on Alice’s. What a day this had been, she thought.
