Phoenix Spirit [dormant power]
Near the end of his life he becomes ethereal and takes the shape of his soul, the phoenix spirit. He burns up leaving only an egg from which Tao hatches in his prime years. This cannot be used to grow older. This cannot be used to stop death if he dies by old age.
Aspect of the Phoenix
He can use the powers of the dormant Phoenix to shoot fireballs, in the shape of a fist sized phoenix. Shadow boxing while concentrating on his core/ where the spirit of the phoenix resides, will release this fireball. How strong the effects are is based on how much force or speed he used. This ability is limited only by how often he can do it while remaining the same force or speed and for as long as he can physically shadowbox. Weak to water. It does not explode nor spread, it does however add a dot, damage over time. Flaming up once every other post for three post, the effect is void for users of water or ice powers and hurts less then the initial hit.
Fire immunity
Tao cannot be hurt by fire due to the dormant phoenix, however he is weak against water, especially cold water attacks.

Enhanced Combat
Tao has an innate affinity for combat, honed by street fighting. His combat pushes the limits of human capabilities. Think of it like this, one could bend a bone or break it, in the same way he can bend the human limits but not really break it. Or one could think of it in another way, his combat capabilities dances on the fine line between human limits and the supernatural.
Phoenix Fist
It is a combination of "Aspect of the Phoenix" and "Enhanced Combat". It allows his hands to burn, while it doesn't harm him, the fire will burn others and the fist techniques, do more damage.
Biography
In a different time line, in ancient china where Taoism had yet to be created the Tao was materialized as a baby in the north and was found by the Lungwei couple who adopted him and raised him. His first words where Tao so the couple gave him that name, as he grew up it became more and more apparent that he was special, special in a good way. He was to be purified and pacify the four beasts before his stars aligned. He were to complete one task for each of the four mythical beast to be allowed to take purification rite.
He already was in the north and to pacify the Black Turtle, the Black Warrior he should win the war. This is when he learned learned Tai Chi and the art of war, with this he swiftly took the enemies generals head and won the war. Having won the war he gained the fvor of the Black Warrior. Next he traveled west to the shrine of the White Tiger, Bai Hu where with one meeting could show his virtues, pacifying the White Tiger. In this meeting his virtues where proven by the most intense stare of the White Tiger, aparently the beast saw something in his eyes, the gateway to his soul.
Continuing to the east to meet the Azure Dragon, Qing Long. To gain the favor of this mythical beast he had to learn the arts, to learn Trivium and Quadrivium. Lastly he traveled to the south to pacify the Phoenix, Zhu Que. He had traveled there for his last rite before becoming a holy man, revered by all however the phoenix embraced him and merged with his spirit which flew two years back in our modern world and timeline where Tao had never been manifested, apparently Zhu Que had a task for him in this time line though Zhu Que lied dormant. He woke up on an island, apparently the phoenix had brought him to the ocean... As he looked around he saw and heard metallic beasts, some of them used profanity against him because he was in the way. There where even buildings, probably temples as they touched heaven. Eventually though he was welcomed to Manta Carlos by a nice person who would suspisiously describe the modern age.
Origin of the Fight Club
Two years ago Tao Lungwei was washed up on this island with no money, identification, knowledge of how this world worked and owned only the clothes he wore, however drenched. He believed that cars where strange profanity monsters and that tall building where temples or holy places, nearly being run over a vagrant looked at Tao as if Tao was crazy.
After talking a bit with the vagrant, Tao understood what cars and high buildings really where or meant, not that he really believed it at first. To earn money there where two ways according to the old man, you either fight or donate blood or body part and the old man suggested donating blood because a teenager couldn't take out an adult. Tao ignored these advices, his blood and body parts was his
Whenever there was a fight, he was there. At first the adults ignored him, thinking the thought of a teenager to join in these fights where cute and sometimes laughing at the thought. Tao where persistent until one day he had enough and offered himself as a servant if he would loose a fight and get the whole cut if he won, the idiots fel for it as they thought of him as a regular teenager though his strenght was just slightly above that of an average teenager, his techniques took down the riffraff without real training quickly.
He and several others grouped together, to fight unfair fights, to add real rules to the fights but that was no hit from others as they meet heavy ressictances his friends who shared his vision where killed. Tao didn't mourn them he knew what he walked into and so did they however he swore to make their dream into a reality. He found an abandoned building in the slums which he spent the last one and a half year to make it into what it is today.
