Table 2

Valaina listened intentively to what Tu had to say. He was right. It should be easier to make friends here. However, that was one thing she was never really good at.

"You said your friends came here with you?" Valaina couldn't help but feel jealous. "I wish I had friends who could have come with me."

She glanced around the cafeteria, watching as people laughed and joked around with there friends. She couldn't help but recall the good times she had had at her old school with her old friends.

"You said your friends were scary?" Valaina was curious, "How so?"

Pausing for a moment, Turais fiddled with the plum in his fingers as he thought of the best way to answer Valaina's question. Shifting onto his knees, he leaned over the table, waving one hand to motion the other girl closer as he spoke in a soft voice.

"They're, well... they're not normal-looking, I guess. And they're strong too and can do things that only people in this school can do," he whispered while glancing around every now and then, "They said they want to be kept a secret for now, but as the days pass, they'll probably have to come out more and more. But I promised not to tell everyone about them until the time comes, so you have to keep them a secret, okay?" He gave Valaina a slightly pleading look as he shifted his weight from one leg to the other. He'd actually promised not to tell anyone until it was time he had to use his powers, but he liked Valaina. She was really nice.

He just hoped they wouldn't get mad at him for saying anything.

Valaina's eyes widened as he told her. She was very interested and thought this was amazing. It also made her feel good that he had told her, even after promising his friends he would not.

"Your secret is safe with me," she promised, "I won't tell anyone. Besides, I would have no one to tell." She laughed. She just hoped that Tu wouldn't get in trouble for telling her about them or rather she wouldn't get in trouble for knowing.

((Sorry for not responding sooner, had a few things to take care of ><))

"..Thanks," the red-haired teen said with an honest tone, eyes glancing down at the now bruised plum in his fingers. It felt good being able to finally tell someone about his friends, without having to worry about them becoming scared of him or just brushing him off with a laugh. He wanted his friends to know each other and become friends too, whether human or summoned, and it had always been hard to do that when the human ones wouldn't believe what he was saying.

After his moment of reflection, he gave Valaina a bright smile across the table, unable to hide the happiness he now held. Though he wasn't sure if Valaina would accept his friends when they met face-to-face, he at least knew that she was open to the idea of them, and that was enough for him.

"I knew you were a really nice person!"

((Not a problem.))

Valaina smiled back at Tu. "You're a very nice person as well. I'm sure your friends are really nice, even if they look a little scary. I'm not one to judge people.." she stumbled, "..or non humans, by appearances."

She opened her lunchbag to find it was empty. She was still hungry. She glanced at Tu's basket and saw a bright red apple sitting near the top.

"Do you mind if I have one more of your fruits?" She asked, still staring at the apple. "I'm afraid I didn't pack myself enough lunch. I promise to pay you back." she smiled, pleadingly.

"Oh, help yourself!" he responded with a laugh and a wave of his hand, motioning for the other girl to take as much as she wanted, "I can always go get more, so you don't have to worry about paying me back."

Sitting himself back in his teeth and biting down into the plum in his hand, Tu continued to bounce a little in place as he watched Valaina. It was kinda nice, being able to sit and share food with a new friend, who he knew he would be able to introduce to his old friends. They would probably get along really well too! Just that thought made Tu bounce more in his seat, unable to help his silly smile as he ate his plum.
