Some Surprise Wiki Announcements
Hey! As you may have noticed, we have a wiki. It's full of useful information, but it's a constant work in progress. If you would like, we would love to have your help fleshing out a few more details about our site's setting. Be sure to familiarize yourself with our wiki's contribution guide then read on if you would like to know more.
Character Species Pages
On our site, we have many and varied interpretations of different common types of species, from vampires and werewolves to demons and angels and dragons. Only a few of these interpretations are actually written out on our species pages. Feel free to add in sections about the species you came up with!
If you want to write about your character's species but it doesn't have an existing page, message @Kait and she can make one for you.
Attribution
It is important to us that our members are given credit for their contributions to our wiki. When we've noticed this credit was not explicitly listed on a page or section, the mod team attempted to fill in the gaps going off of our wiki's editing history - and we may have made mistakes. Further, we may have accidentally removed credit while cleaning up some pages as well. If you think a contribution on our wiki is miscredited, please do not hesitate to message @Kait or @Kyros to tell us about it.
Native Flora and Fauna
We have a wiki page about the native plants and animals on Manta Carlos, and we would love for help in adding to it! Message @Kait with submissions. Right now, we are primarily looking for:
- Fictional animals which are either non magical or only slightly magical, which fill environmental niches similar to animals you can find in the real world.
- Fictional plant species with either minor magical properties or none at all, which grow in the wild on the islands. Also, plants with intense magical properties which you can only find rarely in the forbidden forest.
- Terrifying creatures for the forbidden forest; they should be non-sentient and/or incapable of participating in civilized society in any way.
Diseases of Manta Carlos
In a similar vein, @Kait is also looking for submissions to the page about diseases on Manta Carlos. Right now we're looking for diseases that are unlikely to spread to large numbers of people - diseases which we could reasonably expect a character to ignore or not know about. These don't have to be infectious - they can be psychological or magical in nature as well.
Anything Else
If you have any other ideas for the wiki not mentioned here, feel free to talk to contact @Kait about them! She hungers for your ideas.
(Also: reminder that there is a medal for wiki contributors, if that sweetens the pot for you)
