Sunshine and Shadows

"There is!?" exclaimed Nyota who on instinct looked up to try to see it before. Of course it would be see high up she would fail to see it with her naked eye. Nyota realized her idiocy and looked back to James as she tried to hide her flustered expression.

"OHh... err... that cool. Are we allowed to visit it? If so... I am absolutly going to plan on doing that one of these days. But... uh... yeah. Popcorn is good. I'll probably munch on cheetos or something. I guess we can meet here after classes end at 3, then have you tag along as we go to my dorm. That is a good plan I think."

Nyota goes to stroke her chin with her only hand, it seemed like a good idea. Still... she couldn't but think how bizarre of a circumstance she had just found herself that she was about to let a boy she barely new to watch Star Trek with her on the first day of school for her. What even was his name... James? James... that was his name. Wait... did she even bother to give him her name?

"Oh shit! I never game you my name now did I? Ugh... I am lousy when it comes to introductions. Anyway, the name is Nyota. Nyota Enterprise Magarian-Xia. A real mouthful of a name if you ask me. And your name is... James... James right?"

Nyota shakes her head in disagreement, she personally found James to be a nice name. After all, Captain James T. Kirk is one of her personal heroes!

"Oh its not all that boring of a name. In fact, both of my moms were going to name me James until the ultrasound came in. Now I am stuck with the name Nyota. I guess its kinda appropriate since it means star."

Nyota figured not to elaborate any further about why her parents gave her that name in the first place. She is always tired having to explain why her parents gave her such an usual name and figured that James will eventually put two and two together when they watch a few episodes of Star Trek later later. Nyota pulled out her phone to check the time once more, debating if she should head out and grab a quick bite while there was still time or to spend the remainder of her free time with James and starve during the last couple of classes.

"Hey, I'm not saying I don't like name, I am just saying that it has its own challenges. Like having to explain what it means all the time or why my parents thought to give me that name. Also... really difficult to find those little key chains with your name on it at the visitor centers." snided Nyota

She gave James a smirk before looking back down to her phone again. Nyota nodded to James confirmation as she watched the time on her phone go up on one full minute.

"Right so... 3:00 ish. I guess I should find out what the school passes off as ediable around here before classes start soon. Hopefully mac n cheese... or cheese pizza... or grilled cheese or hell, anything with cheese really. "

Nyota then puts away her smartphone and looks back up to James, taking a bit a of pleasure as she received the thanks though in all honesty she should probably been the one to thank him for providing company.

"Sure thing dork. I guess I will catch you later today unless you want to raid the cafiteria with me."

Nyota stuck out her tongue, looking a bit grossed out from what blasphemy she had just heard.

"Eww... yuck! Why would you throw vegetables one a perfectly good pizza? Its suppose to be delicious... not healthy."

Nyota then shakes her head from side to side, a bit disappointed with Jame's choice of toppings but whatever.

"Such a dork... " she muttered under her breath before rising her voice back to its normal pitch "alright well lets get going while we still have a chance to eat then."

With that , Nyota made her way to the roof access door and jerked it wide open.

"Well, come on now."
