"Hey, genoius, I wasn't talking about teary sad, I was talking about pathetic sad. As in, you are a pathetic little boy."

He sighed, the temptation to just leave nagged at him. What was the point of sticking around. He had at first enjoyed the sight this place from here gave, but with the annoying girl, he grew tired of it. He stood straight now, staring at her, still very calm, even though, inside of his head, raged on silently.

"Oh, so watching homes getting destroyed and people dieing is entertaining for you? I thought you were just jerk. I wasn't expecting you to be a sadistic jerk."

His hand twitched a slightly. He hated seeing people die, but would rather see someone dying, instead of already dead. He stared at, his gaze now hard. He remembered home, and the time he came down at night, to find his entire family gone, and a friend who he enjoyed talking to, dead on the floor, she was shot, blood was everywhere. It was frightening for him. He was afraid of seeing blood, it made him panic at times.

"No. I don't enjoy watching people die, or destroying homes. That is cruelty." He would never harm a person with his powers, if he could help it, the only way he would ever harm anyone, was hurting their feelings.

"Really? Have you met everybody in the school?"

He caught a glimpse at the bruises now on his arm. He shut his mouth tight, lips in a thin line. He hadn't noticed bruises on her before. He turned away from her, and walked to the small ridge. He didn't feel like fighting with the girl. He wanted a nice night, to walk around, or just sit in thought. He started to walk along the ridge. Nykolas wanted to leave the girl. He wondered what she may say to him, since he had turned his back on her.

When Nykolas didn't say a single word in response to the things Lilith had said, she wasn't so much annoyed as she was with an unknown feeling. It was like a mix between relief and annoyance. There was a small part of her that was glad he didn't say anything because she wasn't almost getting tired of fighting with the boy, but annoyed by the fact that he didn't say a thing.

When Lilith had mentioned the whole explosion destroying homes, she noticed him twitch, and she realized she'd hit a nerve. He'd probably lost someone in an explosion or something, though that would be quite odd since he loves causing explosions. Sadistic weirdo.

"No. I don't enjoy watching people die, or destroying homes. That is cruelty."

"Really? And causing explosion and damaging the earth isn't cruelty?" Lilith scoffed and crossed her arms, trying slightly to cover up her recent strange bruises.

When Nykolas kept quiet and thinned his lips, sealing them tight, she could tell he noticed the bruises as well. She thought he'd say something, but instead he walked away, turning his back on her. How rude. Lilith pulled a black sweatshirt out from her back and slipped it over her shoulders, covering up her arm bruises, but couldn't do anything about the ones on her legs except cover part of them with her stockings. She walked over to where Nykolas went and stood by him. "I'm not always like this you know. You just annoy me."

"Really? And causing explosion and damaging the earth isn't cruelty?"

He smiled coldly now. "I guess it just better to make those explode, other then where it would harm someone. If it is cruelty to the earth, then I don't mean to. I can't always keep my powers holed up forever, if I do, think of the destruction that could happen. Not everyone can control their powers." He said, the smile quickly gone, he stopped, when the girl followed him to where he stopped.

"I'm not always like this you know. You just annoy me."

This time, he grinned, and his eyes gleamed a little, with annoyance. "I'm glad to know we have something in common." Nyk said. He stared at her a moment, then turned around, and continued walking, curious if she would follow again. He had basically realized that making the things, like rocks explode, gave her those bruises. He hadn't meant to harm her that why, it wasn't the way he hurt people, he did through their feelings, well, thats the way he liked to go, though he always avoided it, if he could help it.

"Well why don't you explode things that don't hurt people. Like furniture or useless objects and do it in a sealed room where no one can get hurt from your explosions?" Lilith was still disgruntled by his stupid liking of exploding things, but she just ignored her annoyance towards it. And him in general.

"I'm glad to know we have something in common."

Lilith gave a small and quick sarcastic smile. Though gave a small chuckle, since she couldn't help but find the truth of his comment slightly funny, though for no reason. When Nykolas wandered off once again, Lilith asked, partially annoyed yet curious, "Where are you going? "

He laughed as he walked. He would go crazy like that. He would hate to be stuck in a room, with furniture and stuff to explode. Sure, he loved making things explode, but not everything, and not all the time. "I could, but I think I would go crazy only making those explode in a concealed room. That would ruin the fun of exploding things." He said jokingly, and grinning.

"Where are you going? "

He shrugged. "Don't know. Somewhere else thats a nice place to enjoy the rest of the night." Nykolas said, cheerfully, now hiding his annoyance of the girl, though it tinged in his eyes.

"I could, but I think I would go crazy only making those explode in a concealed room. That would ruin the fun of exploding things."

Lilith rolled her eyes for probably the hundredth time that night. "Oh, yes, I totally forgot: exploding things isn't fun at all unless you damage more than the thing you're exploding. My mistake." Her voice was 99% filled with sarcasm while the other 1% was filled with, what else? annoyance. She couldn't understand why the boy was grinning so much. And she couldn't tell if he'd said what he'd said as a joke or not, but she didn't care, because even if he did say it as a joke, he didn't know how t do it properly.

"Don't know. Somewhere else thats a nice place to enjoy the rest of the night."

After taking a quick glance at her watch, Lilith said with an ironic smile, "Well good luck with that! You have half an hour." A small mean grin appeared on Lilith's face, even though what she said wasn't really that mean. True, there was only half an hour until the rays of light would appear in the sky, but she wouldn't be surprised if he found a more peaceful place in that time (no matter how short) because he was most likely referring to the fact that any other place where she wasn't would be peaceful. The jerk.

He walked on, not caring if she followed, even is he wanted her to go. He was annoyed, and losing his patience quickly. He felt that if she talked again, he would explode himself. He clenched his hand into a fist, and tried to keep his anger down. Usually, if he was angry, he would make more things explode, but if exploded more rocks and such, he was afraid he'd hurt the girl more. He had never meant for her to get hurt by him exploding small rocks.

"I didn't mean for you to get hurt. And I feel guilty about that. Sorry." He said dully. He hadn't really replied to what she had said, but he didn't feel a need to. But he did feel a need to say at least sorry for causing those bruises she had on her arms.

"Well good luck with that! You have half an hour."

He stopped suddenly, and moaned. He closed his eyes tightly, and he cursed himself for talking to long to the girl, and wasted a perfectly good night. He would have to get to the academy soon, he didn't want to be stuck out here in the daylight. He refrained himself from saying something cruel to her, and started walking away again. He wanted to get off the mountain.

Lilith continued to follow Nykolas as he continued walk ahead. It wasn't like she had anything else better to do. And just because she didn't didn't mean she was going to continue on annoying him, it was getting a bit old for her. Besides, secretly, she actually kind of wanted to see him scurry like a rodent if he didn't make it back in darkness by the time the sun rose. Lilith was a mean one, she knew that.

"I didn't mean for you to get hurt. And I feel guilty about that. Sorry."

Lilith shrugged, looking away down the mountain instead of him. "It's not like you knew, she said, folding her arms tighter across her chest, as if to cover her arms up more even though she was wearing her jacket.

When he moaned, Lilith refrained from a small snort, especially because they were almost starting to get slightly along. At least it seemed, but then again she could be completely wrong. She knew he was going to start back for the academy, but she knew for a fact that he probably wouldn't reach there in half an hour, unless he also had super speed as a power. Though it was highly doubtful. He probably would've used it by now to get away from her.
