Some news is bigger than others, and some news is so prominent that it gets featured in the Manta Carlos Print, the cities largest newspaper. Anyone is free to post here, although stories might be fact-checked by reporters. If there's an issue with your story, or the staff team has questions, we'll contact you directly.

Headline: Manta Carlos seeing increasing amounts of Grafiti
Story:
The last few weeks have seen a strange new crime spree: Graffiti. The MCPD has seen an ever increasing number of reports of graffiti in and around the city, and have launched a cleanup effort ahead of the Lilac festival.

"I know you think it's art," an MCPD spokesperson said at the announcement earlier today, "but it's a crime, and we are going to be arresting people we find doing it."

Those interested in volunteering for the cleanup effort are encouraged to speak to Vanessa Wong with the Manta Carlos beautification committee. Those interested in designing murals are encouraged to work with their school's community art program.

Headline: Secret Sharing App Shuts Down
Story: Users of the very popular new app, Wyspr, were greeted with a short but cordial message this morning:

"Thank you all for flocking to my pet project. I know a great many of you hopped in to share your secrets anonymously and some of you even had a fair amount of fun but as it is well past my month it seems only fitting to close down now.
-A
Rumors of children and teenagers being on the receiving end of secrets of a seriously dark and emotionally heavy nature being the real cause of the cancellation of the app are unsubstantiated.

OOC: please feel free to finish your existing Wyspr threads as normal

Headline: Sun and moon stops effecting MC citizens for a month
Story:
This month's Lilac Festival saw a surprise visit from May and June of the Pantheon of the Twelve, who announced that until the next full moon the denizens of the island will be unaffected by the sun or the moon. This is following the full moon last weekend, which the werewolves and others affected by the moon on the island saw none of the changes that it usually brings. Vampires and other citizens normally affected by the sunlight have been similarly unaffected.

The Manta Carlos government wishes to remind everyone that this change is only temporary, to avoid any potential danger once the month is over.
