Hanako was excited... so excited that they had been wearing their Kitsume mask the entire time she has been floating behind the one whom introduced themselves at Oluremi. Hanako was unsure of what to make of Oluremi whom was not like any Yokai they knew... or even if they are a Yokai to begin with. But they seem to scare as easily as the human schoolchildren she was more accustomed to haunting. Though unlike them, Oluremi did not flee... instead inquiring about their nature and how they seemed uniquely adapted for drama and theater. It was always something Hanako considered in passing back at the old school she haunted but could never see themselves having an audience. Oluremi however insisted that they look into it and even offered to guide them to a place to hone her acting skills. Anywhere else and Hanako would have tried to frighten them off for good but... in this strange place she finds herself... she could see herself having a future different from what she was used to so... agreed with Oluremi's proposal. For now at least.

"How much longer?" asked Hanako for what must have been the 9th time now since they started walking. Anyone that did know Hanako well would think that she must have sounded annoyed or uncaring given how little emotion was in her question but inside Hanako was bubbling with excitiment ready to burst.

"Hanako unused to this..." they added, her masks floating around their form of a faceless pale girl in white dress and stringy black hair.

Oluremi had no idea what she was doing. All she knew was that what she was doing now had to be crazy in some sense. A ghost trying to scare her on this island was something she expected sooner or later, and surprisingly, she handled it well. This ghost had a child-like nature to her, despite her appearance making it difficult to tell her age accurately. Because of this, Oluremi went along with her harmless attempts to scare her. With how young the ghost acted, Oluremi found no reason to put on her best performance. Nevertheless, the ghost looked proud of her work, leading to them to have a somewhat normal conversation. She managed to get the ghost, who called herself Hanako, to consider acting and follow her to the school. Apparently, she was not registered there, which worried Oluremi if she actually was a child.

"Not much longer." Taking care of a four, six, and sometimes seven-year-old made Oluremi tolerant towards repetitive and annoying questions. It must have been difficult for Hanako to stay patient after being hyped up to go to the school by Oluremi. "The school's nice. You'll meet a lot of nice people there. Trust me. I'm guessing you have a home, but if you don't, the school can get you a dorm."

"Kimyona High School home. Then maiden said Hanako not welcome. Now Hanako here... lingering." stated Hanako as she hovered close to Oluremi. Ever since she was banished from the school grounds she has always haunted since her conception, Hanako can't help but feel a little homesick. While investigating her new environment with a high degree of freedom was a welcoming change at first, the longer she stayed the more she yearned for familiar comforts of her old home. For one, the people here are so much more difficult to spook and frighten... which has left Hanako with dawning on the sad mask more times than not.

"Make academy new home." added Hanako, after a moment of silence. As they make their way to the school, Hanako continues to keep close to Oluremi but her many masks seem to stop to inspect the some posters posted nearby as they make their way to the academy.

A ghost haunting a high school sounded like a concept from some cliched horror movie. It would have been funny, if not for how sad it sounded now. Continuing to go with the horror movie comparison, ghosts who haunted a specific area were often killed there or emotionally link to that place somehow. If Kimyona High School was Hanako's emotional link, she was older than Oluremi thought. Luckily, Starlight Academy was closeby.

"Starlight won't say you're not welcomed if you follow the rules. They'll help you find a place where you can scare as many people as you'd like and no one will be angry at you. Some people like being scared, so you should go for them. Or . . . do you want people to be angry at you?" Remi was impressed by how good the school was at accommodating different species. Some mermaids had dorms full of water they could sleep in, reptilian people wore heat charms during the cold, and Oluremi would soon need to get her cold charm for when summer inevitably came. The idea of the school being able to find people who enjoyed being genuinely scared and kept coming to Hanako for that sounded like one of the more normal things on this island. The only problem she could see is if Hanako wanted people who disliked being scared.

"Hanako like to scare. Scare to make different faces." stated the yokai as it shifts through her different masks. Hanako had no real preference or disposition when it comes to who she is scaring. So long as her scare tactics provoke some sort of reaction she was pleased. With Remi telling her all about how the some of people at the Academy enjoyed being scared made Hanako feel joy so she had her Mask of Joy covering her blank face to express her happiness.

"Hanako not know rules... but attempt follow them. Promise not to hurt. Dead do no scare well." matter of factly stated Hanako. As much as she enjoys scaring people, she doesn't mean to physically hurt them. Hurting people is no fun to her. Scaring people is however!

Remi was almost worried that she said the wrong words to Hanako. Her kind was not one Remi knew very well, but some creatures like seeing their victims in as much pain as possible. If Oluremi's species did not work on similar instincts, she would have felt disgusted by those who liked tormenting others. At least Hanako acted too harmless to be of concern, even if she had off-putting behaviors.

Seeing that Hanako put on a mask to show her smile, Oluremi tried to do the same. Her smile was barely noticeable, but it was more than she did for most people. "The school will teach you all the rules. If you're bad at remembering, they can write it down for you."

By now, the two girls were on Starlight's property. They were still outside the school, only just entering the front gate and travelling around the parking lot. A few students made weird glances towards Oluremi and Hanako, though who they were judging was hard to tell. It would not be the first time groups of people looked at Remi like she was the weirdest thing in their life. Just when those looks were dying down, her being accompanied by Hanako started them up again.

Though most of Hanako's masks drift around aimlessly, her mask representing surprise seems to "watch" the oricenta for a few moments. Then it just give Remi a single "nod" before it drifts off the the rest of the floating masks. Perhaps having written rules would help her behave though she is unsure how she would be able to carry the piece of paper on her own. It wasn't long until the two of them reach the school and Hanako could feel the numerous eyes on her. It felt strange to her, having lurked away sight for all of her existence and to be so exposed to so many watching eyes. It almost made Hanako feel naked... her drifting mask now huddling close to the illusionary form she has taken on.

"Watching eyes many. No easy to scare when seen. Hanako not used to this." stated Hanako, and though she doesn't sound... the way how her masks huddle close to each other and is donning on her Mask of Fear over her face seems to convey that Hanako isn't liking how all of the students were watching her out in the open. It just felt... unnatural to Hanako be moving so boldly out the middle of a school grounds as this was something she was unused to.

"Are we close to place? Place that will help Hanako with theater?" inquired Hanako, now switching from the Fear mask to her mask of Anticipation.

In a way, Oluremi could understand. She did not make a living scaring people, but back home, she was used to barely being noticed. When she went outside, she tried to stay invisible, creeping along quietly near the more hidden areas of the streets, staying up in trees, and once in a while, hiding underground. To some, she was so quiet that when she revealed herself, they panicked. Here, Remi was always noticed. It was hard to stay hidden when you were built like a rock, winged, had five brightly colored horns protruding from your forehead, talons, and other parts that were blatantly inhuman. Once in a while, she could get away with not being noticed, but in areas like school, it was uncommon for people to not glance at her with a curious expression on their face at least once.

"I went through the same thing. They'll get over it. They'll get used to you and stop staring at you. Just take advantage of this while it lasts." She looked at the students back, her emotionless face making her look more threatening than she intended. Some even looked away, as if they were spotted doing something dirty. "If they're already this nervous, it'll be easier scaring them later on.

Continuing to walk to the door of the administration office, Remi nodded to Hanako. "We're already here. They'll get you set up at the school, find you a proper place to live, and give you the basics of whatever you need. If you want, I can go with you while they talk to you. I can also just hang out in the back. Later on, I could give you a tour of the school too. If you want."

After some pause, Hanako spoke up and replied with "Hanako will do. Make use of surprise as lasts." Hanako then brings their hands up and rubs them together, as if plotting some mischievous scheme before realizing they are in front of the admissions office.

"Here are we. Hanako thank Remi help. Will ask admissions signing up to academy. Not know registration length. If Remi still here, will like having tour." spoke Hanako, though she may not sound it she very much appreciated the assistance Oluremi has given her today. Asking her for a tour was already so much more than she would expect from her and didn't expect her to wait for her handle whatever the registration process was.

As Hanako moved to the entrance, she was cut off guard by the doors opening up for her! Unused for doors opening for her, including the automatic ones, left Hanako cuious as to how it knew that she was there. "What strange magic responsible." she stated the menrenki though she meant it as a question. Her masks curiously searched for the mechanism responsible for detecting her but fails to discover anything obvious. Then she remembers her original purpose and just enters the building, saving her questions about the door for another time.

—- TIME SKIP —-

Hanako exits the building, the mysterious doors opening for her once again. But Hanako didn't give the doors too much mind as she was too distracted with her joyous thoughts at the promises the school offered her. She seemed quite happy with how the registration turned out, as evidenced by her donning on her mask of joy over her face. Upon noticing Remi, she switches out for her mask of surprise to express... well her surprise that Remi was still just outside the admissions office. Perhaps it was because she really wished to give Hanako that tour... or that maybe she wasn't filling out forms as long as she thought she was. She wasn't quite sure how much time transpired... she wasn't paying the passage of time much mind.

"Remi still here. Did not expect you stay." stated Hanako as she floated her way over to her. She tilts her head from side to side, the shifts back to her mask of joy "Happy see you stayed. Tour time is now. Remi very kind." spoke Hanako, placing her mask of Trust over her blank face and giving her a respectful bow. It was always something the students she haunted did to show respect and in this situation she believed it to be the proper expression.

Oluremi watched Hanako go inside, narrowing her eyes in what looked like an actual squint at the mischievous look she had on. For half a second, Oluremi was ready to turn away from Hanako and go back home. Then she hesitated before stopping outright. There was nothing else Oluremi had to do, and Hanako did say she would ask for a tour if she stayed around. That sounded ten times more enjoyable than being home, locked up in her room, trying to avoid Béa.

Seating herself nearby, she waited for Hanako to come out so they could start their tour. Ideas of where to go first popped up in her mind. The cafeteria, the café, the sports field, and the park sounded like the easy areas. She should also ask Hanako what grade she would be in. They were probably giving her some kind of test now. In the meantime, Oluremi flipped open the pink case of her phone to scroll through internet forums and the news. Oluremi liked to think of herself as pretty modern, but there was still a lot here that caught her off guard and made her seem dumb when she questioned it.

It took Hanako speaking to Oluremi for her to look up from her phone and realize who was there. For a predator, Oluremi's one weakness was getting deep into her phone until everything else was blocked out. "Oh, that didn't take long. Happy to see you too. She stood up, putting her phone on sleep and closing its case. With Hanako looking ready to go, she began walking out of the building, deciding to go wherever was the closest. The park and garden were close by, as well as the infirmary. The infirmary sounded more important, now that she thought about it.

"Know what grade you're in? I can show you the building for your classes later. First, the infirmary, then the park. Sound good?" She raised an eyebrow for Hanako. If she did not know what grade she was in yet, Oluremi would just take her to the important buildings. No point wasting time taking her to buildings she had no use for. Most Oluremi would do for them is point in their general direction and name what was there.
