It seemed like an odd time for a barbecue promotion, but with summer wrapping up Brad knew there were a few grilling enthusiasts looking for those end of the season sales. He opted to set up a nice little grilling station outside of his shop and things seemed to be running smoothly. People beckoned by the smell of grilling meat or the chef's charm and good looks were lining up for samples. The demigod was more than happy to whet the appetites of the masses. Along with the small portions came a coupon book with simple recipes. He was about to head back to his shop when one of his employees came out with a rather large box.
"What's up, Trevor?" the shark man asked turning to the cyclops who placed the box on the ground in front of him. There was a concerned look on his face. Jack's was known for its rather odd happenings, eccentric staff, and its sale of human flesh so really, any "odd" incidents that were about as ordinary as they could get. It wasn't a complete week without something awkwardly odd happening.
"Well, we're not sure what to do with this."
A few more small cuts of steak were tossed onto the grill before Bradley turned to the box. He could smell the cadaver, but that wasn't the reason for his face contorting as it was. He could hear faint movement coming from within it. He took a breath and popped the latches on the top and cracked it open before quickly closing it and putting a foot on top.
"Trevor, that's an undead dude."
"Yeah, the shipment got...contaminated."
"Is it setient? We got people out here! Children!"
The distressed conversation was whispered between the two butchers as the creature in the box's banging became more apparent and more violent. Muffled growls could be heard from within. It wasn't sentient he could tell that much. "Alright, I'll deal with this after it dies down," he placed his cooler on top of the box and continued, as if nothing was wrong.
"Hello there, care to try a sample?"
