*It might not have been the smartest idea but it sure did pique her interest. Sophie loved places like this, old musty, deserted rooms. There had been an old abandoned house near where she had lived with her dad and she had been in and out of it a million times. It got to the point where she was so used to that house that she knew it like it was her own. She had heard that that house had been abandoned for like forty years but Sophie would bet money that it was way longer than that. It was the best place on earth as far as she was concerned and it was the only thing she missed about being anywhere near her dad.*

*Sophie had climbed the stairs slowly, looking over her shoulder every so often to make sure no one had seen her going up. She was pretty sure that no members of the staff would approve of this little outing. Sophie walked slowly down the squeaky hallway and tried all the doors. Most were locked but there was one towards the end of the hallway that was open. She grinned to herself as she stepped in.*

*it was definitely an old classroom, or what was left of one. It clearly hadn't been touched in decades. The blackboard was still in tact but more of the desks were overturned and broken. She did find a chair that was still in one piece and turned it right side up, sitting down as she looked around the room. There were random papers and books strewn everywhere and a couple windows were broken. She shivered in the slight chill of the breeze drifting through.*

*Sophie just sat there for awhile, looking around and picking up some books and papers nearby before she stood and started rummaging through some of the shelves and the teacher's desk that was, surprisingly, still in one piece, not really paying attention to anything other than her little treasure hunt.*
