Snow and Jii; The Art Project

Minna was sitting in her art class calmly and patiently. She was acting like the best kind of student one could be and she would not break that. After the encounter with Coriander in the woods a short few days ago Minna felt a bit more confident in herself. So she was a little excited to be in her art class again and being able to not fear her own failures any more. She had the strength to continue now.

When the Teacher asked the class to find a partner to work with for their next piece the rush of movement from everyone else didn't come as a surprise. But it did make Minna feel a little left out, she didn't have any friends in this class and this was the first group project here and it made Minna look around trying to find if anyone else didn't have a partner. What she found was a small... person, sitting by themselves. Standing up and walking over Minna brushed her long ankle length skirts to make sure they were staying clean.

Minna got close enough she smiled and bowed slightly in greeting. "Hello, my name is Minna Snow. I see that you too do not have a partner for this project. Would I be able to ask you if you would accept me as your partner?"

Art had never been Jii's forte, at least in the visual sense. She was considerably more gifted in the arena of music, and that tended to show in her performance. It wasn't that she didn't have any interest in the subject, otherwise she wouldn't be here in the first place, but the intricacies of technique eluded her. Today was supposed to be the beginning of a partners project, and if she were being honest with herself, Jii was absolutely mortified. She was entirely convinced that nobody would ever go out of their way to choose her as a partner, positive that they had seen her past work in the class and denounced her as dead weight...that was if they had even noticed her at all.

Whenever the hustle started of students rushing back and forth through the room to match themselves with a partner, any shred of the possibility of her going to find one herself vanished, because as nonsensical as it was, Jii couldn't get over the thought that if she left her spot right now she'd just end up getting stepped on and shoved around. Just as she was about to give up and start on work alone, she spotted a curly-haired girl headed in her direction. She peeked from side to side to ensure that it was actually her she was going for, ears flattened a bit from the noise of the room. When she finally got over to her and introduced herself, Jii offered a tiny smile, and nodded. "Umm, sure. I'd be okay working with you, but I'm not all that good...I'm Jii, by the way."

Minna smiled as Jii introduced herself, in the back of her mind Minna couldn't help but reaffirm her thoughts that Jii looked... well, adorable. "It is a pleasure to meet you Jii." Minna then carefully sat down next to her art project partner. The human girl didn't quite know if they might become friends but she hoped that they would at least get along well with each other for the project. "Are you new here Jii? I haven't seen you around before."

As she waited for a response the teacher went around placing lumps of clay covered in plastic (so it doesn't dry out) in front of each of her student. Looking down at her gloves Minna grimaced before looking back at the block of clay. She took a deep breath in and out before sliding her gloves off of her arms and hands. The shoulder length gloves being an imaculate white even though she used them all day every day. Minna didn't want people to get the wrong idea if they were dirty. Her own cloths were still the simple long skirt and short sleeved blouse like shirt. She only hopped that the clay didn't ruin her clothing.

Looking over to Jii Minna blushed a little. "Um, just so you know... Please do not touch my skin... I don't have complete control over my powers yet and you would be in serious pain if you do. So... please be careful."
