Under the glow of the emergency lighting Sterre wondered labyrinth of hallways down to where the vending machines were. As she walked her eyes half closed and her hand pressed to her stomach. In her eyes she still had sleep no matter how many times she rubbed it. Her hair flowed behind her, unbound from her normal ponytail. In her sleepy state she hadn't even thought to change out of the nightgown she'd been wearing, only out of reflex did she even bother to put on her bunny slippers.
Once she finally got to the machines she slipped a few coins into it and heard the tumble of her drink come out. She popped the seal and took a long swig from it. As she finished she heard something clattering down in the hallway. She jumped, surprised at the sound. "Hello?" She called out, not sure if it was just something falling on its own another person, or something else. "Is anyone there?" She tried again, clutching the still open bottle close to her chest.
