She wasn’t one to panic excessively, but the thought of having her little amount of freedom stripped from her. Though, even then, losing her cool in public wasn’t something she wanted to leave an impression on for her doctor. So, as Thiul motioned her to calm, she took a deep breath. That caused her form to stabilize a bit, which subconsciously put her mind at a bit of ease.

Though of course, the worry was still there. Her vessel, or teapot, was a prison to her. She was only stuck once for a week or so. Worst week of her life, if she were to be honest.

But, when she announced a suggestion, Loralei looked back up. She had ideas prior, but didn’t want to make things worse. As she listened, her face gradually lit up. This… This could work.

"I… I’ve never thought of that. From what I know I don’t think there’s a limitation to how many times I can serve someone..." She thought back to her training from long ago. She didn’t remember that being a thing. And that was probably what caused her to exploit the loophole in the first place. "I think that’ll work. Just three wishes, and I’ll be good. No harm in that, right?"

Though, there still was the suggestion to return back to her vessel. She bit her lip a bit, breathing in sharply. "I guess though it wouldn’t hurt to rest a bit. But..." She looked back up to Thiul, her gaze soft. "I don’t wanna be a pain in the ass or anything. You’ve already done so much for me. But if it doesn’t trouble you any… Do you mind if I start here? In case something happens, I want to be make sure I can enter and leave if need be. I don’t want to hold you up from patients or clocking out or anything but… I know I can trust you to make sure I’m doing what’s best for me, and that I’ll be okay."

Loralei had a positive reaction to Thiul's suggestion, and as she voiced her agreement Thiul nodded along slightly, but tried not to seem too enthusiastic. After all, Thiul couldn't be 100% certain this was going to work, almost nothing was certain when it came to medicine and magical medicine was even more uncertain due to each person having individual quirks to their abilities.
"Yes, no harm if you choose the right person. That is what I want you to be certain of, trust. Because if you choose someone with ulterior motives as your temporary master that bond is hard to break until the three wishes are fulfilled. And that is when you can truly lose your freedom."
Thiul was a hard realist, and Loralei deserved to know the risks.

Thiul was slightly surprised, when Loralei asked her if she could enter her vessel here for the first time. Thiul appreciated the trust this woman put on her, after all, not all people trusted doctors due to the turbulence and dangers their area of expertise presented. Thiul looked at the time, there was few hours until her next appointment. So she turned to face Loralei again and smiled slightly, nodding once.
"Yes, that is possible, we still have about two hours until my next patient comes. I would also prefer to observe your process."

She knew the risks. It’s why she had to gamble on masters. A genie was so easy to use and abuse, and while there were rules they were easy to bend. You just had to be careful how you phrased a wish. That was perhaps why genies were known to be so untrustworthy. It was out of survival.

She nodded carefully, her image billowing in the still office air. "I understand." She stated solemnly. She had her fair share of crappy masters in the past. She definitely didn’t want to go down that route again. But who would she pick…?

Luckily, she had plenty of time to decide. The doctor agreed to let her rest at her office until the rest of her patients were taken care of for the day. She breathed a sigh of relief. "Really? Cool. Alright. I guess we should do this, then."

She stood up, facing her teapot. She rolled her shoulders and her neck, breathing in deeply. "I haven’t done this in god knows how long. Let’s see if I can remember how..."

Closing her eyes, she focused her energy into her vessel. Mentally she relinquished her physical form. And, in a few short breaths, she was gone. All that was left was her teapot, which ricocheted in its place from the force of the spirit being vacuumed within. The gems embedded in the silver began to glow. Their master had returned.

((You can do a time skip if you want!))

It was fascinating to observe how Loralei entered her vessel, Thiul had never seen a genie do this in person. It was much more simple than Thiul had imagined, just a moment on concentration and the woman was simply...gone. Thiul stood up and walked over to the teapot, looking down on it. She decided not to move it, better not risk accidentally triggering the contracting process and disrupting Loralei's rest. So Thiul went on with her business, going through some patient files, arranging her schedule and making few personal phone calls to her family and Titus.

Thiul didn't know how long it would take for Loralei to get out, but just in case the woman would have trouble exiting her vessel and not make it in time for Thiul's next appointment Thiul set up an alarm, that was meant to go off 30 minutes before her next appointment. If this alarm would go off Thiul would attempt to somehow awaken Loralei or use some classic methods of getting a genie out of their vessel, and if those didn't work Thiul would simply set the teapot in a separate room and later get Loralei some help.

This was… weird.

It had been so long since she had returned to her little vessel that she forgot what it felt like. She forgot the sensation of her physical body being pulled away from her soul- or whatever it was she had left. She was no longer a 5’6” young, silver-skinned woman. She was nothing more than an evanescence contained by a pocket dimension within her teapot. She was there, and yet not.

It was… Oddly comforting.

Without seeing the outside, without any concept of time or spatial perception, she was safe. It was almost like taking a nap, except having the essence of you being stripped down to its very core. Not to mention it felt… Tingly. Like when your foot falls asleep, but all over. She couldn’t see, physically touch, smell or taste anything. She could hear noises on the outside of her container. Muffled, unless she somehow used her aura to focus on it. But it was just so tempting to lie here forever… safe… untouched.

Ahh shit, I gotta cook dinner!

The little teapot, after being silent for what seemed like forever, began to rumble in its place. The top lid and the spot began to leak, then pour out a steady stream of silver smoke that glistened in the dim office light. After its slow boil of accumulating energy, it finally erupted with enough force to explode, shooting a ball of smoke in its wake. Before it could disperse, a figure fully formed, jetting out at rocket speed only to crash land on the wall parallel to the pot, which slowly slid onto the floor.

"Hnnrrrnnn...." Loralei grumbled, now on all fours on the floor. Slowly, she stood up. There was a particular glow to her as if she were born anew. "Gahh… How long was I out for?"

The alarm rang out, but didn't manage to startle Thiul who was drinking coffee and eating some hard candies. She shut it off and looked over at Loralei's vessel. Now, how should she go about this? Thiul stood up and walked over to the teapot, gently touching her fingers to it. She tried rubbing it, and even shaking it a bit, but it didn't work. Thiul had heard that speaking at the vessel of the genie sometimes also awakened the spirit inside, but before Thiul could try that(and feel foolish while doing it) the teapot began to rumble. Thiul stepped back, and watched as Loralei emerged from her vessel in quite the flashy manner, now looking much healthier and all in all physical.

"Nearly two hours. You cut it quite close. But it seems to have been worth it, you look much better."
Thiul explained, as she went over and helped Loralei get up. If this was the first time in a long time she went into her vessel then it was no wonder if the woman was disoriented.
"I would perform a health check on you, but unfortunately we are nearly out of time. I suggest you come again after a week or so, or sooner if there are any changes in your state."

Once she got her bearings, she squinted up to the face of her physician. She stood, grunting as she stretched. "Oof. Sorry about that. Man, I really did cut it close." She looked at her hands, which slowly faded in its glow as power was imbued in her body.

"Well… I appreciate your advice. It seems to have helped." She gestured to herself. "How do I look?" She chuckled, gesturing to her no-longer fading body. Though… Looking at her fingers, they still were smoking a bit…

”I’ll call you later this week to keep you updated. Thanks again!" She picked up her teapot, and headed towards the door. As she did, she reached for the doorknob, but instead of opening it, she poofed in a puff of smoke on the other side of the door. Blinking, she told there for a moment, ultimately shrugging it off. That woundn’t become anything, right?
