Name: Shin Zhujiang
Age: 136
Birthday: May 4
Gender: Male
Career: Metallurgist
Appearance Description: In stark contrast to other members in his family, Shin is practically a giant. Standing at a towering 6'6" with 300 pounds of muscle, making him a perpetual mountain of flesh. His eyes are brown has long black hair which he’ll either pull back or simply leave down. His clothes vary from traditional Chinese clothes to your standard casual wear.
His dragon form is quadrupedal and serpentine. In terms of height he stands around fifteen feet, lengthwise however, he stretches just over the length of a football field. His scales are grey with the faintest hint of green and somewhat resemble feathers. He also sports antler-like horns and a mane. His body also sports fin-like appendages that seem to help with flight.
Personality Description: Despite having a rather intimidating appearance, Shin’s actually a nice guy. The term gentle giant is probably best applied to him. He has a rather polite but forward approach to things as he’s not afraid to speak his mind when needed. He genuinely cares for anyone considered family or friends and remains deeply loyal to them especially his siblings. He has a general fondness for cute things, and oddly enough is terrified of bugs, spiders in particular. This fear has resulted in walls being broken down before. He has a decent sense of humor and a distinct booming laugh. Actually his voice tends to carry even when using an inside voice.
It should be noted that Shin is no simple brute having devoted his education to studying metallurgy and putting that knowledge to good use for the sake of his family. He’s a clever strategist and generally thinks things through and factors in any reasonable variables. He prefers reason over haste but this doesn’t mean he can’t make snap decisions under pressure.
Powers: Shin is an iron dragon, and as such he has heightened senses and his physique in human form is pushed just past the limits of the average Olympic level athlete. That of course is due to his own physical conditioning. He has in fact made large holes in walls from swatting bugs. Though new doors may be a better way of putting it. His dragon form is quadrupedal in nature, his serpentine body makes gaining any real momentum while on the ground a bit tricky. To make up for this he’s capable of flying/floating in the air as many eastern dragons do. Due to his earth dragon heritage he is also capable of burrowing into the ground in his dragon form and moving at high speeds underground.
Iron Dragon: Similar to his brother Lao, Shin’s ability centers around hardening his skin. Which really simply comes down to him partially transforming, growing scales over the desired portion of his body. He can sprout out scales anywhere on his body almost instantaneously, while fully shifting a limb takes a couple seconds. Further hardening takes about five seconds before peaking out at fully iron level hardness, however it requires a good bit of concentration and draws energy at a fast rate thus causing him strain after only a few minutes. His physique also allows him to modify scales and fire them as projectiles. Fully hardening when he’s in his dragon form has the same effects plus one: he loses a degree of mobility and tends to have trouble maneuvering in the air.
Strong roar: Shin lacks any sort of elemental breath, instead he has a powerful roar that generates a shockwave that’s capable of shattering solid rocks with the sheer force. He can employ this offensively or defensively as it can divert projectiles aimed at him. The farthest distance his roar’s full effects can be felt from is about ten feet. Naturally the closer you get, the harder it hits and it weakens as you get further away. Even if you don’t get hit with the shockwave you may want to bring ear plugs In his human form it can take him around ten minutes to recharge it fully. His dragon form can use it twice in succession before needing a recharge. It also leaves his throat scratchy and his voice hoarse.
Weaknesses: Being a metal based earth dragon, Shin’s elemental opposite is lightning. Which serves as his primary weakness. His other weakness is water, especially if any part of him is transformed he simply has limited mobility in the water which can get worse if he’s in a bind against a lightning user.
Biography: Shin is the second born child in the Zhujiang house. His heritage can be traced back to the tale of a group of dragons that brought water to the people of China in a time of great need. It’s a fact that he’s very proud of and does what he can to uphold the family name. He was actually a rather small and scrawny child initially, and as such he was directed more towards educational pursuits. Though he did receive combat training. This all changed when he hit puberty and started growing. His combat training pressure ramped up to match the pressures of his regular education. The result was a rather business savvy strong fighter. He went on to study metallurgy and various magical alloys to help benefit the family’s business.
His life was fairly quiet until recently when his younger sister Xia got kidnaped by dragon slayers for her ability to create pearls. To his anger and the slayer’s fortune he was away inspecting a mine during the long week that she had been taken. His sister Zhen was in pursuit of them however, and his parents reassured him that everything was going to turn out alright.
Upon her rescue, he opted to move with his sister to Manta Carlos, where he could help keep watch over his siblings in case more trouble followed them.
Additional Information: Awesome brute brother of the Zhujiang house.
