Personality Description: Rowan has carried on the tradition of the Arlnest of being pretty egotistical. Sure, he’s human, but for not having any magic he is quite impressive and worthy to carry on the Arlnest name. He isn’t quick to anger unless it is directed at insults at his family's name.
He’s rather brash, rushing into situations without really thinking. Or thinking anything out. While he isn’t as gullible as he once was, Rowan never thinks anything out, preferring to live as things come. He has a good set of morals in his eyes, and can be a bit immature. Though, he is okay with that, as it’s what he wants and he can live as he wants, even if others wine about it.
Powers:
Trick Arrows: While Rowan doesn't have any magic himself, he does have a few trick arrows to help out. This is bow only.
-Regular Arrows: Pointy and go thwip or something. Uses a sturdy graphite and can make excellent pencils.
-Grappling hook arrows: Special arrows slightly coated with substance from his bubble gum arrow. Has a sturdy rope and is used to climb to higher places.
-Smoke Arrows: Non-lethal arrows that pack a bit of a punch. Smoke pellet on the end that fills the area with smoke. Good for a getaway or to throw people off. Made by his sisters, the smoke is bright pink, purple, blue with sparkles in the smoke.
-Blunt Arrows: Not much to say. Uses blunt arrow tips for non-lethal situations.
-Bubble gum arrows: Arrows filled with a mysterious Pg sticky substance. Can be used on people to restrict movement of a limb or on the ground, hard for people to trudge through. If shot in the face, they can breathe through substance. Very hard to remove from clothes or vice versa. Pink in color, soft and fluffy. Can withstand up to 200lbs of pressure. Not recommended to snuggle. Smells like apple pie. It can be removed by colder temperatures or ice.
Energy crossbow: Rowan can use his magic to make a crossbow appear on one or both of his wrist. He can shoot up to six bolts a minute with each one, but it takes him 30 seconds to recharge the bolts, leaving him wide open to attacks. Does not have any trick bolts.
Quiver: Normal quiver, can hold up to 130 arrows total.
Biography: Rowan was born into the great Arlnest family. His family wasn't one of the bigger families, but he still lived a rather luxurious life. However, his branch of the family was being bodyguards for those with power. He grew up with his two older sisters, who took advantage of his naive and gullible nature to get out of doing their chores. As he got older, it turned into his sister's bullying him into various embarrassing and humiliating situations.
After reaching the age of 13, his dad started Rowan on his extensive training on how to use a bow and survive on his own. His training lasted for 3 years, where he returned home. After spending another year at home, he left, going to the island of gifted people to join their school.
He joined his two cousins for several months on the island of Mantos Carlos, not getting out much and becoming bored with his life there. Then his family went to war, and he was drafted to help. Early on, he was kidnapped but the witch hunters. However, they never planned on him having no magic. Because of this, he was able to escape because of the magic oriented traps that didn’t effect him.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t really save his family from being wiped out. Alone in the middle of somewhere, Rowan had to travel, using his knowledge to live off the land and hide or sneak his away around the witch hunters. He did make sure to help diminish their numbers, even finding his own magical powers.
After several months, he finally found a boat, then got lost on sea for another month. But after that, he arrived back on Mantos Carlos.
