Put 'Er There: Roselyn has the power to form magical contracts through a handshake. As a contract is being decided on Roselyn has the ability to decide on a deadline for when contract, and if the agreed upon terms are not fulfilled before that deadline Roselyn's, the other party's or their both's hand burns and falls off, depending on which one of them didn't hold their end of the bargain. The contract can also be without a deadline, in which case if one of the parties in the contract actively breaks their agreement their hands burn and fall off.
Once a contract is formed through a handshake it binds both Roselyn and the other party. After a contract is formed Roselyn has the power to see through the eyes of the one she formed a contract with and hear their thoughts, no matter how far away they are. The two participants can also talk to each other telepathically if they have a visual of each other.

True Name: Roselyn has a true name, that she was born with and initially only she knows about. If someone learns this name and orders Rosette to do something with it she has to obey, if she is capable of fulfilling that order in any way.
Roselyn was born a princess, under a different name in a different dimension. Her dimension was like our own, but without a veil, and almost all supernatural creatures were either hated or avoided. In that dimension Roselyn was born a bastard, her father was a fae that had seduced and further impregnated the queen. But the queen covered it up, and the child looked human and had black hair like the king. So everyone believed her to be a true princess of the kingdom.
Roselyn grew up like a princess should, studying geography, politics, war tactics, horseback riding, etiquette and even combat skills. She was always a humble but secretly ambitious and greedy child, and the fae in her loved the deception and secrets that ran rampant in the court. Roselyn collected secrets and favours, saving them for a rainy day, that she somehow could feel was coming.
Years went past, and Roselyn came of age. She was the second princess, but her older sister was more of an artist than a ruler so the king declared Roselyn to be the heir to the throne. And as if by fate the king died few months after the declaration, and Roselyn was made the queen. Many suspected Roselyn had her hand in killing the king, but she didn't. It truly had been a stroke of bad luck.
Roselyn was a good, though unorthodox queen. She ended all the wars the kingdom had been fighting, either by finishing them with a swift last strike or negotiating a peace treaty. War was pointless, the kingdom was just wasting resources when they should've been more progressive inside their own borders. Roselyn began developing the infrastructure and economics of her kingdom, and many of her changes annoyed the nobility and delighted the public.
5 years into Roselyn's reign her mother, the old queen, died. And she left behind a letter for her second daughter, that Roselyn never learned about, for it was hidden by the nobles. It revealed the truth of her birth, and the nobles saw their chance to overthrow Roselyn and put her older sister on the throne as a puppet. But they needed to wait for Roselyn to do a mistake, even a small one, so the public would go along with them.
Roselyn didn't need the letter to tell her that she wasn't entirely human. The abilities she had been born with were proof enough of that.
That mistake came in the form of Roselyn adding a new tax for owning sheep. It annoyed and even angered many citizens, and the nobles went ahead with their plan. With a dramatic flair they revealed the horrifying truth. Their queen was secretly a fae, a treacherous trickster that had been hogging riches and killing innocents behind the scenes. And the hatred towards the supernatural was strong in the people. Immediately they demanded that Roselyn left the throne and was imprisoned, or even killed. Roselyn did her best to try and sway the opinion of the public, but it was in vain. The whole kingdom was against her overnight. She would be killed if she didn't do something.
So Roselyn did do something. She died.
Roselyn's "body" was found in her bed, burned beyond recognition. The queen was declared dead, and Roselyn's older sister took the throne, though all the decisions were left to the nobles. In actuality Roselyn was indeed alive. She had used most of the favours she had been saving, getting a body to act as her, and silencing enough people so no one would ever know of her escape. Roselyn used an old escape route under the castle, unknown to all but her. It was an old portal, that was connected to a dimension parallel to theirs. And through that portal Roselyn traveled to our dimension, ending up in Switzerland in Europe.
Roselyn very much stood out in her strange clothes, speaking a language no one had ever heard before. It didn't take long for the Veil to notice strange activity and find Roselyn. They brought her to Manta Carlos, where there was yet another surprise waiting for her. Roselyn's uncle, her mother's brother, was on the island as well. He had escaped an assassination through the portal decades before, and now owned a failing shipping company on the island. And he was dying. As soon as he learned that Roselyn was on the island her uncle rewrote his testament, and he left his company to her.
There Roselyn was, a usurped queen with nothing but the clothes on her back, enough money to last her a few years and a failing company on the verge of bankcruptcy.
Well, what else was there to do? Roselyn changed her name, rolled up her sleeves and got to work.
Roselyn used the next decade or so of her life lifting the company up, making it the succesful business it is today. It required sweat, blood, tears, ass kissing and countless sleepless nights, but it was work that Roselyn could feel satisfied doing. And she found that it was exhilarating to be free, to have no shackles to bind her to anything. This was all her own doing, and no one could deny her of it.
Now Roselyn has been on the island for almost 15 years, and her shipping company delivers all over the planet, to other planets and even to other dimensions.
