"HI Vivien," replied Aiva. She extended her hand for a handshake. "I promise I'll be easy to live with. No wild parties, I'll keep the room clean, and I don't have much stuff so it's not like I'll hog any of the space."
She put her duffel bag down on her bed and began to sift through what little she had in there. There were two desks in the room. One already had some of Vivien's stuff on it, so Aiva took the other one. She put down the picture of her family, another picture of her cat. Things had been pretty quiet for the last couple minutes, so in effort to break the silence, she said, "This is my kitty, Socks." she said holding up the picture, "We named him that because well, it looks like he's wearing socks." she put the picture down and returned to her bag. She brought out a few outfits and placed them in the drawers of her dresser. "I'll have to go shopping," she said, "I didn't bring many clothes."
She unpacked the remainder of her stuff and sat on the bed. "Well, this room could sure use some paint and some nice curtains!"
