It was night, the air was cold and crisp when ther was a thud on the roof.
Maulderin could hear the sound of feathers above him and he decided it was probally just an own or something so went bak to his reading, but it was not an owl, on the rooves above him a tall figure had landed, hooded and cloaked. His name as Cenaros and he knelt and peered through a crack. As Cenaros looked on he noticed a plate of fruit by Maulderins side, and as had been travelling for some time, he realised he was quite hungry so he began for the opening in the roof that would allow him into the room below.
Cenaros quietly entred without Maulderin stiring and approached him.
"What are you doing here elf? Your not supposed to be here." Maulderin said
"I....umm......i just noticed that plate of food, and i was wondering.."
"If you could have some." replied Maulderin
It was obvious to Cenaros that Mauderin was not going to share so he took it with force.
The small plant by the window grew extreemly fast, sprouting vines and roots, that quickly ensnared Maulderin.
"Im sorry but i am hungry and youre obviously not, since you havnt eaten them yet, I dont usually do this but its been a long journey and i donthave time for you nonsence."
And Cenaros sat beside the tangled Maulderin and began to eat.
Cenaros began polite conversation with Maulderin asking him what he as reading, how old he was, what his interests were and soon there was no need for the vines or roots to trap Maulderin s Cenaros released him and they talked and talked untill they were on good terms with one an other.
Maulderin confessed that he was reading a forbidden book that he was not allowed to read, and thats why he was giding in the room at night reading it, so not to be caught.
"I see" replied Cenaros, "So whats it about?"
"Well, I have the power to controll the weather, like to makes storms, wind, rain, to make it cold, or deadly hot, but im not very powerful at the moment, and this book, will hopefully tell me how to get stronger"
"A book?" replied Cenaros, "A book can teach you this?"
Maulderin quicky shushed Cenaros, he could hear someone outside the room, "hurry hide" he said as he seized the book and climbed onto the roof.
As they both climbed Maulderin asked Cenaros how much weight those wings of his could carry but before Cenaros could reply there was a loud crash behind them, somone began to chase them.
They emergd on the roof, and Cenaros grabbed Mulderin an leaped from the roof, they began to plunge towards the ground, then they steadied out and began to fly. "My room is over there, the one with the balcony" Maulderin pointed to the room and Cenaros headed for it and landed on the balcony.
"Thanx for that" Maulderin said as he hid the book. "Hay do you have somewhere to sleep?"
"Actually, i dont." Cenaros confessed
"OK, you can stay here from now on then, but just be quet, my room mate might wake up, and id rather he not know about my book for now."
"Ur stolen book" Cenaros corrected.
