This begun a chain of events and pressured for the Ministry of Defense to take action. Which lead into them getting funding for a series of experiments using inhumane methods. The experiments were to be kept top secret for fear of causing an uproar in the United Nations and the general public. The experiments demanded patients ranging from the ages of a few months to twenty-year-olds, Rivers father was eager to this, and being the only guardian of River; placed her in the selection of test subjects. The design of the experiments was to unlock the potential to find and predict events in the future accurately using various emotional and mechanical stimuli in the brain. As the subjects were being rounded up for “Disposal” River used the chemicals she had begun collecting over the years to make a low-grade smoke bomb by using a receipt of combing a mixture of four parts sugar and six parts potassium nitrate. As she was beginning to be lead to the incinerator, she ignited the bomb, and filled the entire corridor with thick white smoke and she simply ran, guiding her way through the facility using the knowledge she had gathered until reaching the sub-level of the lab. After reaching here River then fled to the sewage pipe and begun making her trek through the sewage before reaching the end, she was met with a 170ft dive to the rather rocky water below. After accessing her situation there would be no possible way to survive the fall, however as she begun to backtrack she was met by a strange figure garbed in a rather distinct black cloak, who simply offered her a chance at a normal life at an academy for “Gifted People”. After accepting the invitation, she was safely escorted from the island and lives a carefree and lazy life at the academy for the gifted which the cloaked representative dubbed “Starlight Academy”. Later international news proclaimed that the military installation had suffered a tragic loss as an uncontrollable chemical fire broke out killing a few members of staff at the base.
