Riley Pierce

Riley, for all intensive purposes has somewhat androgynous features, with a slightly masculine twang to them. He stands at roughly 5'4", with a surprisingly slender frame- it's almost lanky, if you look hard enough, with ribs clearly visible in certain positions- though this is most likely due to a poorly kept eating regimen. His eyes are a lightly colored, but saturated blue.

Often you'll find him dressed like a punk, with black jackets, studded chokers and bracelets, leather boots. Though he will on some occasions were simple, casual clothing. He dislikes wearing tight-fitted clothing, as to avoid showing his form too much.

Riley comes from a very broken family- he lost his parents at a young age, and he- along with his twin brother, Seth- were put under the care of their adopted older brother, Joseph... who also passed away within a couple of years or so of taking them in, leaving them orphaned at 8 years of age.

Basically, this all accumulated to being taken in by very shady foster parents who, frankly, had no business having children. Especially since they very quickly sold Riley and Seth into a human trafficking circle. They were put into one of these little "camps" where kids of roughly age 2 to 13 resided. All of them were so young, and most of them didn't make it out of the market alive.

There, Riley and Seth witnessed horrible, horrible things. Even if the other children weren't being touched inappropriately or bludgeoned in front of them- which often, they were included in- shrieks filled the nights. Meals were scarce, and sometimes the "food" they were given was not food at all, but dirt, or other horrible mixes of things they'd put together and essentially told them, "Eat up, or I'll put a bullet in ya."

Needless to say, it was absolutely atrocious. Riley and Seth depended on each other during those times, though- especially Riley on Seth. He protected him, kept him safe. And for the 5 years they spent there, it was the one thing allowing them to hang onto the last remaining bits of their sanity. There were times they'd hum little tunes to each other, or play with rocks and pretend they were dolls. Sometimes they'd even fantasize that, somewhere, Joseph and their parents were watching over them, somewhere. It helped.

But of course, that came to an end when Riley woke up to Seth gone- and of course, Riley had to assume the worst. They'd considered him a weak link and killed him off. What followed was a very large mental breakdown- honestly, Riley doesn't remember much of it, but this is the exact moment his powers activated. Many people were injured, staff and children included.

However, this was a blessing in disguise. The commotion caused managed to alert people nearby, who called the cops- and thus, revealed this specific circle to the masses. While most survivors were hospitalized at local hospitals, Riley, due to expressing this ability- and attacking some of the EMTs with it out of fear- was almost immediately quarantined in a government facility. He'd blacked out on the trip there, and by the time he'd woken up, could not remember a thing. His mind, under such severe stress had locked itself down.


Despite the memory issues, Riley was taken to Manta Carlos as soon as he was physically able. After all, he had telekinetic abilities- and barely any control of them. It was unfair to simply keep him in quarantine for the rest of his life. Taking him to a place that could safely be nurtured made the most sense.

Since then, he's had much therapy, and caught up on his studies quickly- but his memory issues never cleared up. Despite this he enjoys life on the island, and didn't intend to leave anyway. Even if sometimes, he wonders who he was before, what family he might have had, and so on.
