Hiatus
Aodh saw the disappointment very clearly, and that pissed him off a bit. But he had no reason to actually get mad at Luciana so he held his temper back. Instead he petted Dulla absently and frowned just a little bit.
"Dullahans are scarce nowadays. We 'av been 'unt by 'umans to almost extinction."
Aodh's frown deepened, it felt strangely freeing to talk about this. Though it naturally still ached inside.
"Me family was de last dullahan one in our region."

Now Aodh just stared at Luciana when she said reaping got...boring after some time. Aodh clenched his teeth, he had to remember this one was a genuine reaper here. He was ultimately just a fae.
"Borin', aye? I wouldn' know, I 'ave never reaped a soul in me life."
Aodh said it proudly. But then he shuddered and looked down a bit. There was heavy sorrow in his eyes.
"Scratch dat. Oi 'ave reaped souls. Once. Oi guess we are de same then."

Aodh shook his head a bit at Luciana, frowning and his hand getting rougher while petting Dulla. But she could take it.
"Aye, Oi 'ave stories. But they best be left unsaid. They ain't 'appy ones."

Irregularly
Luciana wondered why Dullahans were so scarce when reapers like her were a dime a dozen. She was tempted to say something along the lines of them losing their heads and not being able to play out their role, but then he spoke about family and she knew that would be, ninety percent of the time, a sore subject. Then he looked so proud of not having reaped a single soul. If his boss was anything like her old one, then she could see why Dullahans were phased out of the job. Yet, it seemed like he was just blocking out that memory, and it came hitting him like a truck. "I can understand that. My first time would probably be best left unsaid too. I was a vengeful reaper in my early years on the job. There was just so much hate that I wanted to release." She reached her hands out and gestured to herself. "Now I am just... this. Barely half the reaper I used to be. But I get to experience a lot of pleasures I wouldn't have. My favorite being the Dia de los Muertos in Mexico. They have such a fun way of honoring their dead."
