Name: Raavi Vatuu
Age: 23
Birthday: 10th February
Gender: Male
Category: Student
Class: College
Grade: 1st Year
College Major: Music

Appearance Description: Raavi’s eyes consist of bright amber irises with black pupils. He has white hair which he usually keeps long enough to reach halfway down his back. He sports a crimson marking around each eye, and two white elliptical markings on his forehead. His skin is tanned but not really dark.

He stands at 5’ 6”, and likes to wear loose clothing. Of course, all tops he wears have two extra holes at the back for his large brown and white feathery wings to fit through, and his pants have to accomodate his large tail feathers of the same colour. His vaguely bird-like appearance extends to his hands, which look like talons in the shape of human hands, and his feet, which just look like this. As a result he always walks barefoot.

On his left hand, he wears a silver ring shaped like a circle with an arrow pointing forwards. Embedded is a dull dark green gemstone that seems to be partly transparent and has a ‘fogged’ appearance.

Personality Description: In a nutshell, Raavi could be described as a calm person. He’s pretty relaxed a lot of the time. He even seems calm nearly all the time, even in tough times. Truthfully, though, he’ll be just as nervous as anyone else would be. He’s just good at recollecting his thoughts, and will enter a state of focus as he tries to think of what to do from there. Music is a passion of his, so he’ll often be seen playing some music with his acoustic guitar whenever he wants to relax. (He’s considered taking up the violin, but he’d need to be even more gentle than he is with his guitar to get it to sound any good. With his strong grip strength, this wouldn’t be easy at all.)

While he isn’t what you’d call an exceptional, outstanding thinker, he does like to explore things in thought often. Show him a book, website, video or any such thing explaining some sort of complicated process or abstract concept, and he won’t hesitate to see what it has to say (Even if it may be difficult to wrap his head around at first). That said, he can be pretty adventurous in the physical world, too. He loves to explore real places and environments just as much as he likes to explore the world of thought. There’s been more than a few instances where he’s gotten to fly around and find a quiet corner to gather his thoughts, or just to relax.

Powers:
Raavi is a birb bird person. As a result, he has:
Wings which give him the ability to fly.

3x the eyesight ability of humans.

Hands and feet with a grip strength twice as strong as that of a regular human’s.

Raavi owns a ring, which he wears at all times. This ring grants him some telepathic abilities, such as:
Reading the surface thoughts of others. This can be resisted or blocked altogether by a strong enough telepath.

Communicating with others telepathically. He can also create a mind link ‘network’ with up to 12 other people, in which participants can communicate telepathically with each other, and share their memories at will. Participants can leave at any time, but only Raavi or someone else with this ability can bring them back.

Recording information and retaining it permanently in his memory. This needs to be activated, with constant focus needed to maintain it. He cannot gain proficiency in any skills, only the knowledge of how to attempt them. For example, he could memorise the moves that make up a dance, but he couldn’t suddenly become a skilled dancer. He could learn how to perform surgery, but not gain the precision needed to do so. While doing this, he cannot also use other telepathic abilities such as reading surface thoughts or communicating with others in a mind link until he is finished recording information. Once this information is in his memory, he can share it with others in a mind link, but not until he’s finished recording. Information recorded this way is not safe from forced memory wipes.

Biography: Raavi hails from a civilisation of bird people living in a cluster of floating islands above some clouds. They once co-existed with humans in peace, but when various wars started breaking out near their islands, they used powerful magic to hide the islands away from human contact. This area is now hidden away from human civilisation with various spells and charms, which has allowed the islands to evade discovery by humans for millennia.

Raavi was always a curious, adventurous guy. Even from a young age, he would frequently try to explore the woods just beyond his backyard. They were harmless enough and he didn’t usually find much apart from some colourful rocks. But on one trip, he came across a silver ring with a stone he’d never seen before attached to it. And so, like anyone would do with something they don’t fully understand, he took it home with him. The next day, he discovered that he’d developed telepathic powers. Since around 60% of the islands’ population awakened innate powers at some point, usually in their early adolescent years, it wasn’t an especially big deal.

Despite his ‘innate’ ability indicating that he had enough magical aptitude, he didn’t see himself as someone who would take up a career as a spellcaster of any kind. He wanted to see the outside world and all it had to offer. At the age of 18, when most bird people in the islands became fully independent, he moved out of the islands to explore the world beyond. This was also the age at which he would be eligible to start learning magic, but he wasn’t bothered to stick around. His parents reluctantly agreed, since he was considered an adult now. Besides, with the lack of any chaos or war around the area as of late, some bird people have actually dared to venture beyond the islands. The fact that very few of them ever seemed to come back didn’t faze him too much.

He spent the next five years exploring the world, with the help of a charm which disguised him as a human and made his wings and tail feathers intangible. In that time, he further honed his musical skills, earned money through various small jobs, and learned about the cultures of various countries such as china, malaysia, and the fiji islands. Since his wings were developed enough to fly across whole continents, and his charm could also disguise him as a bird, or a flock of birds, he never needed to catch a plane.

One day, while disguised as a human, he was involved in a car accident with a speeding drunk driver. His charm broke, revealing his true birdlike form. Some strangers took him in, while modifying the memories of anyone who saw the incident with magic. They explained that they sensed magic use coming from him, before finally managing to find him crossing the road. They healed his wounds before inviting him to an island known as Manta Carlos. He accepted, and has recently arrived.

Additional Information: A holder of one of the Pieces of God.
