"A corporate outing? Sure," Rafael said as he pushed what remained of his lunch away. "Let's call it that," he chuckled.

"We have gone every year for the last few years now. We usually just close the office for two days," he explained as he glanced at his watch and saw it was time to get back to the office.

"Oh, and feel free to bring a friend along if you like," he added as he got to his feet. "I get that not everyone finds hanging out with people from work or the boss's family all that fun," he remarked good-naturedly.

"Okay, then. A couple of days away from the hustle and bustle sounds great," Kalvin said, downing the rest of his coffee before standing up as well. He pulled out a few bills to cover his orders and the tip. He placed them on the table then walked with Rafael to the door.

He didn't really have anybody to invite. He wasn't very close to anybody else on the island. He had acquaintances but he wouldn't feel too comfortable about asking any of them out to go on a trip with him and his colleagues. "I'd be perfectly fine without a plus one, but thanks for considering."

"Alrightie, then I will have Zoraida reserve you a private room. If you change your mind about the plus one, just let me know," Rafael said as he threw a few bills on the table as a tip.

"Let's get back to the office. I have a meeting in half an hour, that I'd like to prepare for," he said as he followed Kal out of the restaurant and back to their office.

"Doubtful, but I will if I ever do. After you," Kal said, holding the door open for Rafael. He walked in step with Rafael as they walked to the office. When they reached their floor, he said a quick goodbye as he headed back to his desk. He had to do a little bit of preparation for that meeting as well. Though, before he put his mind back into work mode, he smiled to himself a little bit. At least he had something fun to look forward to at the end of the month.
