Age: 39
Birthday: June 7
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Category: Citizen
Career: Medical Doctor (neurosurgeon and general healer) and Philanthropist (does volunteer work in her free time)

Appearance Description:

Jamila is a Pakistani/Puerta Rican bombshell. Jamila stands at 5’7”ft and possesses a naturally curvy figure with large natural breasts, a small waist, wide hips, and long legs. She’s very particular about her figure, so she works out once a week and eats a healthy, low-sugar diet. She has smooth, medium-brown skin free from blemishes.

Body aside, Jamila has a mature, feminine charm to her beauty. Her hair is soft, long and wavy, in a deep wine color. Jamila likes wearing her hair in an assortment of ways, often utilizing flowers and accessories, but her favorite look is a partial bun put together by her favorite rose hairpin. Jamila also has a heart-shaped face with a small aquiline nose, doe-eyed downturned forest green eyes framed with heavy eyelashes, and medium-set cupid’s bow lips that have a natural, rosy tinge to it. Jamila often wears glasses, not for style, but for necessity – Jamila is near-sighted.

Jamila is demure in movement, perfect in posture, and polite but articulate in speech. She often wears a sheepish smile, as if unsure if she should be greeting people in the first place. She’s careful to take her turn and may shy away from more rambunctious group interactions. Jamila has a gentle medium-range voice.

Jamila by default wears “nude” make-up and dresses professionally and conservatively. She’s very girly in attire, favoring dresses and skirts with stockings over pants. She could be seen with her doctor lab coat a lot. Jamila is aware that she’s attractive, so when on dates or going out of her way to impress someone she likes, she wears more provocative clothes that emphasize either her perfect cleavage or her long legs, never both at the same time, preferring to keep it tasteful. Even then, Jamila keeps up the image of being sweet and innocent, emphasizing that having her dress like that is a gift to be appreciated and not squandered. Jamila prefers more mature styles, earthy tones, and flowers. She likes patterns, but usually when they’re not overdone. Whatever she’s wearing, she makes a note to keep it clean and well-put. She usually smells like sunshine with a hint of vanilla.

Personality Description:

At first glance, Jamila seems like the type of girl you’d love to introduce to your parents. Jamila is beautiful and demure, but also intelligent and accomplished. Despite everything she has under her belt, she still manages to be humble about them and gets shy under too much attention. Jamila is at her most charming in one-on-one conversations. With people piling on group conversations, it’s hard for soft-spoken Jamila to pipe in, so she has a tendency to shrink away.

Jamila grew up a sensitive child, and because of that, she’s aware of how people around her are feeling. She’s taken that to heart, and grew up with the belief that everyone should be respected and treated well. Her thoughtfulness extends to more than just the people in her life. Jamila is a known activist and philanthropist. She donates to charity, and if there are ever any community volunteer groups that need help, she’ll be there lending a hand. Jamila is very left politically, and is quick to shut down rudeness and bullying with a few sharp words.

While her kindness invites unsavory people, Jamila is a lot tougher than people mistake her for. Her sensitivity extends to herself. When faced with unfairness, Jamila takes a moment to ask herself: Do I deserve this? At times, when she feels like she’s being cornered, Jamila is quick to lash out, determined to take back the space she believes was taken from her. She dislikes the feeling of being trapped again.

Despite her age (or maybe, because of it), Jamila is very boy crazy. Jamila craves attention and praise from men and dominant, masculine people, even if she’s too shy to show it. She wants them to pay attention to her, to see her as beautiful and desirable. Important. Jamila doesn’t know what to do with herself when she’s single. She says she’s not looking for anything serious, but she wants someone to take the reins from her for a bit. She’s terrified of the prospect of being alone forever, and with her getting older, the window of her desirability is closing.

Underneath her sugary sweet outer layer, there’s an ugly, wounded side that Jamila makes sure to hide from other people. To this day, Jamila is still affected by the actions of her abuser. Jamila suffers from PTSD, anxiety and depression. She seeks out the companionship of people similar to her abuser both as a form of self-harm and to feel like she could regain a sense of control of the situation. Aside from her therapist, nobody knows about Jamila’s past. She keeps all of it a well-guarded secret. It’s a bit hypocritical that Jamila would lend an ear to people but not share herself, but one of her worst fears is to make herself vulnerable and have her troubles be minimized or dismissed – or worse, exaggerated.

Jamila is determined to make a name for herself and to stand independently on her own, even if the prospect is terrifying her. Jamila took up healing in order to help other people, but it’s also an attempt to atone for the awful stuff she’s done in her younger years. She doesn’t want to be a harbinger of death anymore, so she’s decided to dedicate the rest of her life to a career that was the detrimental opposite of that.

Deny it all she wants, but Jamila is a risk-taker and a thrill seeker. Jamila has very little regard for her own life, so she’s ready to plunge into dangerous situations head on, whether it’s a violent protest, a rescue mission, or a danger zone. There’s a hidden part of her that misses the dangerous, high stakes lifestyle of a prized hitman. Coupled with a pretty bad god complex, Jamila is prone to overestimating situations she can take and hurt herself in the process. Jamila is sanctimonious, stubborn and sometimes callous to the feelings of others when she believes she’s in the right.

Jamila is wise and knowledgeable in some regards, and utterly naïve in others. A huge chunk of her early life was robbed from her, so she hasn’t shaken off the awkwardness people go through in their late teens-early adult part of their life. She’s prone to committing obvious faux passes and she makes bad romantic decisions, which often leaves her embarrassed when pointed out.

Jamila is a bright girl. Her expertise lies in neuroscience and medicine, but she also has other talents, like dancing and cooking. She values feminine talents and beliefs the most and may be a bit rude about taking on dirty, masculine jobs.

Powers:

Healing Magic

Jamila studied for ten years in Starlight Academy med school to mix rigid science and magic into her arsenal as an MD. Jamila is qualified to study and perform brain surgery in the more traditional sense, and she knows how to use magic to perform quick operations, though she’s unable to heal more complicated illnesses.

Regeneration

Jamila is able to heal her own wounds and replace limbs at an accelerated rate. Minor wounds take a minute, major wounds a day, limbs 2-3 days. Because of this, Jamila can power through most damage with ease, but if the attack was fatal (beheading, shooting heart, etc.), she will unfortunately die. Regeneration takes energy out on her own reserves, so she needs to eat and sleep more when it’s on-going. If she doesn’t, her regeneration would either slow down or not function at all.

Additionally, Jamila gains long term benefits from regeneration. Jamila’s aging has slowed down, so she would be living and keeping her youthful appearance longer than regular humans.

Healing

Healing is Jamila’s most powerful magic and the one she uses to help people out in the clinic. Jamila’s healing magic can heal minor and major wounds and injuries, amputation, burns, rashes, and organ failure. Jamila is able to knit skin, flesh, and bone together with ease, clear outward skin problems, and revitalize weak or dead organs back to life provided the rest of the host is alive as well. The process of healing isn’t clear cut, and Jamila would have to use her own knowledge to fix the situation she’s presented with. Wounds are the easiest to deal with, taking no more than half an hour, but shattered bone causing internal damage are the worst she could deal with. In cases of amputation, she can sew the limbs back together, but she can’t help anyone regrow it. If she makes a mistake in her magical healing, complications could potentially arise. Jamila tries to be thorough

Jamila’s healing can’t extend to diseases or curses. Those would require more specialized medical professionals. Jamila would be able to heal brain diseases, but it would not be a power thing.

Calming Aura

Jamila has the power to turn on a calming aura within a 15ft radius. Jamila’s calming aura can ease heavy tension, thereby making people more relaxed and focused. Often, she uses this aura during high crisis situations and surgical operations, so she’s considered an asset to have around in case of emergencies. Calming aura has to be activated and focused on in order for it to work. Adversely, calming aura has no effect on Jamila – in fact, she seems to absorb the stress of the people she’s calming. She’s very good at hiding this and working under pressure, but prolonged usage of it or larger crowds will make her pass out from stress.

Sedative Touch

Jamila is able to sedate people through skin contact. This ability is an activated and sustained power, so Jamila would have to continue touching them to retain the sedative effects or make it stronger. Jamila is able to concentrate sedative touch in one area too, effective numbing the pain from it. Jamila often gains the energy sedative touch takes from people, though she’ll never be able to feed from their energy completely. Jamila uses sedative touch to relieve people of pain or use it in lieu of anesthetics if none are available.

Training

While not necessarily a power, Jamila’s received rigid training that gives her skills that far surpasses normal human combat capabilities. Jamila was trained to become a living weapon. She can use practically any item as a weapon, survive harsh environments, and memorize the layout of a place with just a glance. Jamila may not be superhumanly strong or fast, but she has outstanding reflexes and acrobatic ability, and she’s an excellent marksman. She’s hyper aware of her other senses when her eyes are closed, so she may use them to navigate in the dark.

Biography:

Jamila was born the second daughter of a Pakistani father and a Puerta Rican mother in a small countryside at Georgia, America. Their family was happy and carefree, the biggest threats in their life being boredom and runaway tractors. Jamila grew up wanting something more exciting than the countryside, yearning to live in the romantic, busy, fast-paced city.

Jamila was a smart child, but her interests lied in sports and more social aspects. Jamila became a cheerleader in her first year of High School. Because their squad was particularly noteworthy, their crew traveled around the state to compete in cheer competitions. While they were in the city for a week, she met a very handsome Italian gentleman in the hotel. He was there on business, he said. He was more than twice her age, closer to her father than her, and he looked very sophisticated, but he took an interest to her all the same. Jamila and the gentleman fell in love during that brief encounter. It was there Jamila gave her first kiss and lost her virginity. After that, the two kept in contact through texting.

Jamila really believed the gentleman was the love of her life. She really thought he embodied everything she could ever want in the world. He sent her gifts to her home and texted her romantic words. He was better than all the other boys she knew, because he was mature, smart, and worldly. He could afford to buy her all these luxurious things.

When she was sixteen, he said he was going to where she was for a few months for a vacation. Jamila was ecstatic. She showed him around the countryside. However, it always embarrassed her that when asked about their relationship, he always said he was her uncle. Did he not want to say he was hers in public? That aside, the whole experience was very rosy in her mind. Jamila started learning new things about herself and her body. She felt like she’d grown from a teenager into an adult in those few months.

Eventually, the gentleman had to leave. This disappointed her a great deal, but then he proposed an outlandish idea: she should run away with him. She didn’t think twice about it. She grabbed her essentials in a bag and followed him back to the city.

But when they got back to the city… Jamila found out the gentleman was married and he had four kids, one of which was even her age. Flustered, she wanted to go back home, but she had no means of going back. The gentleman became different after that. He wasn’t much of a gentleman now at all; he started treating Jamila like she was his property. He kept her in an apartment outside of the city, sleeping with her when he felt like cheating on his wife. Jamila felt betrayed and heartbroken, but she was young and she still loved him. Even after he hurt her, she always continued to love him.

During the next year, Jamila did her best to learn what he liked and earn back his affections. He started opening up to her more. She found out he was a kingpin, and he was involved in numerous criminal operations posing as business meetings. When he trusted her enough, he introduced her to the rest of the gang. They took her to the things they did, and she found they were too grisly for her to participate in. Her lover didn’t like that. He wanted her to be of more use to him. She ate up resources. She was no good.

She was trained for the next three years. It was gruesome and painful. She didn’t like thinking about that time now. She found out she was good at killing – no, the best at it, in fact. There were no thugs and other hitmen that could rival her skills. She hated killing, hated the lifestyle, but she loved the thrill and she loved him. Her lover was so capricious, and she wanted to stay in his good graces forever even when he threatened to leave her for other women.

Her lover, now boss, stopped sleeping with her when she hit twenty, but he kept her around as his companion and bodyguard. That was enough. Unlike his other people, Jamila went with him everywhere to protect him under the guise of his secretary. She felt pride at being valued this much.

This went on for four years, but it all fell apart when they were in Germany. Jamila made a mistake and he suffered for it. With her boss now dead and all her life’s purpose was gone, Jamila… came back to the US, lost and unsure of what to do. It was like her entire life crumbled underneath her fingertips. Jamila tried to come back to Georgia, but she couldn’t show her face to her family. What would she even say?

It was there she received a letter for Starlight Academy. Having nothing else to do, Jamila went to Manta Carlos. She immediately enrolled in the school. She got her High School degree, and eventually, her Bachelor’s. Jamila was very troubled living as a lone woman now, so she went to the counselors every week. It was there she recognized the gravity of everything that happened to her. The more she poked at her own issues, the more overwhelmed she felt. It devastated Jamila, but from that point on, she got better help to handle it all.

She wanted to rebel against the man that stole her life from her. She went on to med school. Her life started making more and more sense on its own, independent from him. Jamila graduated with flying colors at thirty-five years old, and started practicing at the age of thirty-six. All the while, she repeated the same romantic mistake in lesser degrees, unsated and scarred forever by the lack of closure.

As of recent, Jamila recently left her long-term live-in boyfriend and is currently residing at an apartment in the Residential area.
