Shari laughed, quietly. "Plenty of time to lose interest. But with all the interesting and funny characters in the stories, I doubt I would. But still, the quality of my stories aren't too good."

The younger girl stuck her index into the air, tryin to make a point. "The reason why I like mystery is that I like keeping the plot secret, leaving the readers clueless, and try to find out the answers. Leave a bunch of clues in the story for them to pick up and work out. Some books show their villians, everything before it comes to the climax. Mystery is good because it keeps a sense of wanting to read on, wanting to know what happens next. Wanting to know if they are correct. And mysteries aren't always about detectives and murder stories, ya know that?" she chuckled after saying this.

"Good books, eh? Try any of Eoin Colfer books if you like juvenile fictions as I do. They have reasonable action, and lovely sarcasm. That was makes the characters so lovable. Or the Harry Potter series, enough description and captivating storyline."

She closed one eye, "For me, I try for realistic goals; I keep thinking rational, it's not funny. My friend says I'm pessimistic, and normally, most of my guesses usually turn on the downside. So it's hard to be an optimist. I have goals: to finish this, and learn how to snap," she ended the cheery sentence with an unaudiable snap that wasn't even classified as a snap.

"Hm."

Gwen tried desperately to think of something else to say but she couldn't.

"Very interesting. I like fantasy because anything can happen in it. I am kind of simple," she said, grinning.

Thinking of all the possibilities that are in these books made her dizzy. "There are so many types. of books Maybe I should start reading... Oh! That reminds me. I have to study later on... That is what I came here for... "

Gwen laughed. She iis so easily distracted.

"You know, once I am done studying, maybe we could talk some time. I bet we could become great friends," Gwen said with a smile, not wanting to go back to the dull text books.

"We can meet sometime later. Sorry for distracting you," she admitted sheepishly. She tapped on her computer keyboard's side, thinking of what to say. Her curious side, though, persuaded her to ask, " What are you studying? Do you think I can help?"

She smirked slightly; how would a fourteen year old help someone who's already eighteen? "Or, well, we can meet up later on, I can finish up editing this, and then we can meet up at the lounge or something."

"Actually, I am studying for a test in science. Just stuff about heredity."

Gwen sighed thinking of how vast that subject was.

"I better hit the books. It was really nice talking to you! We can meet up in the lounge or something. Where we can be loud," she said eyeballing the librarian who was giving them "the look."

"Thanks for sharing your stories with me," she whispered.

'Heredity... I can learn something from that.'

"Sayoonara, then." She waved a goodbye at her, smiling. The prospects of a friendship might be on the horizon. She really had fun talking. In fact, back at home, she never spoke more than three sentences, and that was to insert an opinion. She liked the one-on-one moment that she had.

She turned to the scolding librarian, smirked sheepishly, and went back to her typing, and editing, as if the meeting had not happened.

However, on the inside, she rolled and mulled over the thoughts in her head. Her first friend, maybe.
