Oddleif's eyes widened as she stared at the young girl, perhaps a little bit surprised at the reaction ... only to feel a little bit aggravated. That was a pretty deep and meaningful statement she had said! If it had been anyone else, they would have certainly praised her for the maturity she displayed ...!

... then again, Oddleif did realize that she was talking with a young kid that couldn't be any older than five. What do kids even know at that age? Odd only had her own childhood for reference, and she knew quite a lot back then ... like what it meant to be an orphan, which was equivalent with 'unwanted'. And that stung even if she thought about it now ...

"It's nap time, isn't it?" The ashen-haired teen guessed as she rose up from her spot on the grass and dusted herself off. "Do you know your way back to the, uh ... big house?"

Oddleif was almost certain the young'un knew this place better than she did, but ... it certainly didn't feel right to just let a sleepy four-year-old wander around the open grounds unattended. Besides, it wouldn't hurt to learn the route for herself.
