New Semester, New Friendships?

Fatima had never had an actual roommate before. She'd shared a room plenty of times at home, and had in fact rarely been in a room alone, except when the other cult members were sleeping. It wasn't as if she had ever needed a bedroom anyways, although she had had one for show at her nominal parents' house. With all the cult members being older than her and her only social time being out in public, she'd never actually spent time alone with someone her own age, until she'd arrived on Manta Carlos.

So the young horseman was a little nervous entering the dorms. She knew she wasn't going to spend much time there, except for homework, but she always liked making a good first impression anyways, and she really craved friendship with someone her own age. She was really hoping that she could have a somewhat normal relationship that want based on sex. She was also a little worried about being around someone she didn't know for long periods of time. What if this Adelyn person had really strong cravings or something. She didn't want to pick up on them or even worse aggravate them. But then again, if worse came to worst, Fatima didn't actually have to stay in the dorms. She didn't sleep and could always do homework elsewhere.


At first glance, Fatima was reassured. The other girl seemed cute and bubbly. She wasn't really the type of girl that the young horseman would be overly attracted to, and the redhead wasn't sensing much hunger coming off her. The room was nice and clean too. Fatima wasn't exactly a neat freak, but the lack of clutter relaxed her. As she entered the room, the redhead waved at Adelyn with a smile. She had already put most of her things away earlier, but she supposed the other girl had been elsewhere for winter break.

"Hi my name's Fatima, but they probably told you that already... You're Adelyn, right? Umm you should probably know that I make people hungrier, but it shouldn't get too bad. I can um share my stash of candy if you want, I guess. I got most of it from my brother anyways. I probably won't be here much cause I don't sleep. But I won't bring people back here! Ermm.. I don't actually know what people talk about with their roommates... I've never had one..."

"Lyn... Lyn... hmm your name sounds familiar, but I can't think why. Were you at the New Year's party? I mean I'm pretty I've seen you in classes, but I haven't gotten to know much people from classes yet that I haven't already met at some party or another. There were lots of those during winter break!"

Fatima smiled at the girl's enthusiasm. While her aura did affect things other than hunger for food, it had in fact been only that hunger she was referencing. She usually didn't bring up the whole lust aura thing unless it seemed necessary or she was flirting. She also had already stashed candy in a drawer. Mostly from the stash of candy canes her brother had given her. Plus she had her bag full of various snacks. "Yep! Hungry for food. And I mean - I get hungry too so I always have a stash. Plus I take food from my brother." She laughs at this. "It's not really stealing - I mean, he knows I'm taking it. Oh! And if there's any food you really like, we can get that too! I kinda tend to pick up on people's cravings when I'm around them awhile. I know that's weird. I mean there's this one girl who likes eyeballs, so I started eating them, but I wouldn't do that if it made you uncomfortable!"

"I've never had a roommate before! I mean ... not exactly. I've never been to school before because I learned at home. My family was... well they were pretty big. And I often.. had people in my room..." She trailed off, hoping Lyn was as innocent as she appeared and missed the slip into innuendo. She didn't really feel like discussing either her family or the naughty side of her life right now.

She was a little taken aback by the eager questioning, while at the same time finding it pleasant. The werewolf seemed like she would be easy to get along with, and that was a relief. "I don't really know what I like yet. I haven't joined any clubs either, but I might later. But I did just start modelling! And that's pretty cool being a real life model. And I got to keep the fancy green dress I wore for New Year's because of the whole it sucked thing. What's the idol club? Like a religious thing? Do you make idols or talk about them or something? Or do you mean like a club for people you idolise?"

Fatima shrugged, she was sure she had heard the werewolf girl's name from someone outside of school, but she had no idea why. Maybe someone had just been talking about classmates. But it didn't really matter. She was sure if it had been something important like - she's a big scary werewolf that eats people in their sleep - she would have remembered.

She hadn't actually considered weight gain as a problem, seeing as she just couldn't seem to gain any herself, just the whole annoyance factor. And the fact that people tended to get kinda crabby when they were hungry. Not to mention that she would get even hungrier herself. She was glad Adelyn seemed to just accept it though. She kind of wanted to facepalm when the other girl reminded her that she was a werewolf. Of course eating eyeballs wouldn't bother her! She laughed back, "Ha - yeah. I kinda forgot. So do you eat people? Or it just doesn't gross you out? Cause I usually just eat y'know people food, but not people as food. I only mentioned the eyeballs 'cause of it being a weird craving. I mean, I'll eat whatever though. Doesn't bother me."

Internally shaking her head in awe at the other girl's innocence, Fatima just shrugged awkwardly at the making friends comment and moved on. She was definitely not gonna be the one to burst that bubble. And - she found she was quite looking forward to being roommates now if the werewolf could just keep being that oblivious to naughty stuff. She was having such a great time just chatting with someone about safe, fluffy stuff.

"Modeling is - yeah pretty cool. I never thought I could be a model, but people seem to like me. I mean it's probably partially because of... um... it just surprises me. I mean I'm so tall! But I guess being tall and skinny isn't a disadvantage with the right clothes."

Fatima giggled at the playfulness. "You're so sweet, Lyn. I'm glad I got you as a roommate. And I guess performers makes more sense than the religious one, doesn't it? I mean - I think that wouldn't be a club really. Does the idol club do performances then? What kind of dancing do you do? Like any kind of dancing or a specific type?"
