It was over, Alistair was really gone, once he had heard the news while he and Tesa were safe at the school, a feeling of incredible weariness had come over, he was tired, tired of the past holding sway over him. It had cost him and Tesa their apartment, but he was finally free and he was finally ready to move one.
So, here he was, bags packed, Tesa on one side, Nia on the other, Mia beside Tesa. A trip, a Christmas trip to Europe, a family Christmas trip, something Aedan never thought he have again, they all had healing to do, but here they were, together, maybe some of them were broken, but that was ok, because they were going to help each other put the pieces back together.
He wrapped his arm around Tesa as he looked at the private jet, his grandfather's, he knew said grandfather was in the cockpit with the pilot, and Aedan smiled, a bright smile, this trip, in his mind, was going to mark a new beginning.
