Private Finished Neighbors: Just Shopping for Underwear

Despite all the obvious non-human individuals roaming around the inside of a large compound such as the mall, the atmosphere was similar to what Rosetta was used to. A line of stores here, a food court on the upper floors over there, different stands and stations out in the middle scattered around, and the background noise of cumulative chatter, laughs and clerks with microphones to draw in customers just getting lost in the sea of voices and open space. And of course, who could forget the sweet, cool caress of an air-conditioned atmosphere?

"The directory said the store was right around... ah! There it is!" she said, pointing towards a clothing shop. Actually, a chain of clothing shops with different dedicated brands. "Come on, Zoe!" Rosetta was a little excited. This was the first time she had the chance to see what clothing was available to non-humans. The possibilities of the designs intrigued her, especially for people who didn't follow a humanoid template.

Oh and of course, she'd have to see if they had any undergarments that didn't trap a lot of heat for her new android friend. For various reasons, Rosetta walked past the 'special' types of undergarments, hoping to find something modest for Zoe to wear, and she found a section with plenty they could choose from.

"How about these?" she asked Zoe, holding out a plain pink one in one hand, and another with some cute prints in the other. They weren't lacy nor translucent, but they weren't thick either, so it shouldn't hinder Zoe's heat dissipation.

Rosetta hadn't noticed that Zoe had almost begun stripping in the middle of the aisle. The spectacled girl had turned towards a few other selections, as well as grabbing some of the matching bras. "Here, these look cute too!" she said with enthusiasm. Rosetta actually lost sight of what she was doing for a moment, picking out something that she herself would wear.

Looking around and over the shelves, she spotted the room which had the changing booths in them. "I think it's over there." She started walking along with Zoe. The saleslady stopped them to ask how many they were trying on, to which Zoe just replied with, "Oh no, it's just my friend trying these on," she'd say, gesturing to the underwear. "We have 4 sets here."

"Oh, very well then. We do ask you, if you do try on panties, that you wear it over the pair you are wearing. Bras however can be tried on however you like."

"Yeah! Plenty of underwear have these cute prints and patterns on them," Rosetta said. She had a few cute pairs herself, although none of them were large-obvious prints. It was one of those things that were just hard to resist. Of course, the majority of her panties were plain and boring since those were the ones she usually wore to work and wouldn't have to worry about ruining.

When the price was brought up, Rosetta realized that she never took into account what her budget would be. After considering their previous rate for living and essentials, she got a good estimate on how much she could spend. Aliasse had made a living here before and had made some decent money. Add in what they had when they came here, they were sitting on a comfortable stash. "No, it'll be fine. You can choose up to 5 sets if you'd like." Rosetta was waiting outside the room Zoe was in. It was always kind of awkward waiting on someone in a changing room since there wasn't much to do but stand around. Luckily, there was a bench Rosetta could sit on over at the opposite side of the rooms.

While Zoe was getting dressed, Rosetta was easing herself on the bench, calculating how much she'd spend if she also bought some of those cute underwear for herself. The fabric felt like they would be comfortable, however, now that she thought about it, wouldn't thin underwear... become see-through when they stretch?

That was something that slipped from her train of thought. She herself never had any that were that thin so... She did stretch them a bit, and they didn't seem to have that problem. And besides, she was a good judge of size, at least when it came to women's wear, and with the sizes she chose, she was sure that all of them would fit Zoe without stretching too much for the see-through problem to be much of an actual problem... if it was a problem to begin with...

When Zoe asked for assistance, Rosetta snapped back from her inner thoughts. Wait did she ask for help with the bra? She looked at the clerk and gestured if it was okay to help her friend. She knew there were some places where they wouldn't allow it because of one reason or another, mostly for security, and also because some were known to fool around inside.

Rosetta entered, surprised that the room was much... roomier than she anticipated. Perhaps to accommodate larger creatures, or those with wings. "Okay, let me see," she said as she took the straps and inspected them. "These have multiple hooks... one seems to be bent closed... there, that should fix it!" And fixed it was. It locked into place quite easily.

She wasn't flustered this time, seeing Zoe in what she was wearing. Which was just her underwear. "How do they feel?"
