His bow ran along the strings, his blue glowing eyes closed as he played. The sound of the vibrant music echoed down the empty halls, it waa beautiful and bright, met to represent hope and second chances.

He hadn't felt like going home yet, so he had found an empty room to practice.

Narraine slithered along through the empty hallways. She had spent all morning cramming for a test, and all afternoon completing said test. Her brain was fried and she wanted a place to curl up and have a nap. Normally such things were not permitted in the classrooms, but in her own opinion it wasn't a problem so long as she didn't get caught.

She had been wearing a white hoodie with the Academy insignia on the back, and a blue pleated skirt. Her hair was tied back into a braid and she had with her a messenger bag loaded with books.

The Lamia turned down a hallway and was greeted by the soothing melody of Violin music. She had always loved music, and in the last month had grown to love the music made by the various students of the academy. Even her sister was a talented musician, and Narraine had been known to listen from afar as she played.

Despite knowing it to be rude to interrupt someone's practice, she had wanted to get a better listen, maybe even relax while being serenaded while she relaxed for a bit. Slowly she followed the sound of the music, eventually coming to a classroom with a single occupant. A young man. She hesitated a moment and knocked on the door. Without waiting for a response she carefully opened the door and peeked inside. "Excuse me... I couldn't help but over hear you. Would you mind if I listened?"

Aedan turned, his glowing as opening, and much to his surprise, he saw a lamia, a white haired lamia. The only one he'd ever seen before was his friend Aylin. He smiled, the glow of his eyes brightening a bit, "I don't mind at all.....please come in."

He didn't really mind others listening as he practiced, it made him happy that others enjoyed his music, "I don't think we've met, I'm Aedan Drago, you'll have to forgive me, I'm not the best," in truth he was being very humble, he was actually very good.

He started the second song, it started out slow building up into a beautiful vibrant sound before slowing down in a deeper yet still beautiful soundit was a shorter piece but still beautiful.

He smiled at her again, "what do you think? It's an old piece my mother taught me."

Narraine smiled as the man invited her in and introduced himself. from what she could tell, he was human. He had no wings, or alternative body parts. In fact he looked like an average healthy human male. What set him apart though was that he was playing music. Humans playing music or having unique skills was still something new to her. But it was still nice. He introduced himself as Aedan Drago, it was a name that reminded her of dragons, though that could be purely coincidental.

Narraine slipped into the room and closed the door behind her. Her tail instinctively curled up neatly as she settled into the room, and put down her bag. Thank you. I'm Narraine Arore." she smiled now as she took a quick look around the room. it was as she expected, nothing more than an empty class. Odds are he had had a similar idea about finding some time alone.

She settled herself down relaxing into her tail as he played. As the song continued so to did her level of relaxation until she was lazily coiled up on the floor looking as though she might pass out. this was much better than finding an empty classroom, at least now she had music.

After a short spell the song ended and Aedan inquired as to what she thought. It had been a beautiful melody, and was a perfect accompaniment to her own thoughts. "It was lovely. You and your mother are very gifted." She stretched out a little, but quickly curled back up using her tail as a make shift cushion to lay on. "You must have been playing for a very long time to be so talented."

He heard her name but decided to wait a bit before asking about any connection to Aylin, "its a pleasure to meet you Narraine. I wish you could hear my mother...she'd put me to shame quite easily." He smiled and chuckled, in truth Aedan was very advanced with the violin but as always he was being humble, "we used to practice together in her flower gardens, after I'd finished my training for the day," those were good memories.

"I actually didn't play for a while," needless to say he didn't have access to a violin during the two years he was locked in that military lab, "but as soon as I could I picked it back up....it was half instinct there for a while."

He gave her another smile, "I apologize but...ugh I've met someone before with that name, Arore. A friend of mine named Aylin."
