It was about lunch time when Live finally woke up. Even though school was still going on, Live did not have any classes to attend. She had a few tests she was going to have to take in the next couple weeks so she could get credit for the courses from her old high school but beyond that she had nothing to do. So she rolled out of bed, threw on her favorite pair of ripped black leggings, her black boots, and her dark blue hoodie. She braided her hair and put on her red baseball cap with a pot leaf on the front. She grabbed her dark blue backpack with the tribal print and left her room. The woman at the admissions office had given her a map of the island and she pulled it out as she headed outside. It looked like she could either take the bus straight to the McDonald's but it also wasn't too far to walk. So Live set off in the direction of McDonald's. She choose a route that would take her away from most people and off into the woods.
As soon as she knew she was in the clear (which she was able to make sure of by using the shadows in the woods to sense for any other people near by), she stopped by a tree and sat down. She pulled a sandwich bag out of her bag, a grinder, and a bowl. She let out a heavy sigh as she saw she only had one nug left. She threw it in the grinder, ground it up, and packed the bowl. There was still enough left for maybe another two bowl packs but that was it. She was gonna have to find someone to buy weed from asap.
Live packed everything except the bowl back in her bag and started walking again, smoking as she went. Once she finished she put away the bowl and pulled out a pack of American Spirits. She only had four left and let out another sigh as she realized she would also have to try to find some place (or someone) that she could get cigs from, since she was still under 18. She lit one and by the time she was done with it, she had arrived at McDonald's. She was decently high and ready to eat. She entered the cool building, and took in a deep breathe. The walk through the woods had kept her mostly shielded from the sun but she could still feel its drain on her body. She walked up to the counter and ordered two big macs, a medium fry, an Oreo McFlurry, and a large sweet tea. She didn't smile or look at anyone. Even when she ordered, she kept her eyes down and didn't say more than needed to get her order placed. Live moved to a both in the far corner and leaned back. Her half closed eyes scanned over the room and the maybe thirty people. It wasn't too busy but there were still about twenty more people than Live would have preferred.
