It was almost disgusting how involved he was with the community to get his niece back, posting and joining search parties as if he was affiliated with them. The past year had been wild enough, to have, for his missing kid to go missing, well that was misseption right there. At first Juniper thought that she had run off to stay with her dad for whatever reason, but even that douchebag of a demon would keep her safe enough to not get kidnapped like that. He couldn't believe that he had such little faith to just assume she'd run off to someone who had always been out of the picture. There was so many questions he had for her now that he had the full scoop, or at least a rough outline of what she had been up to the past couple months but how she ate with no money or enrolled as a freshman in high school didn't matter this moment, he was closer to reuniting with his niece than ever.

Finding the missing people was a complete blur, the only memories he would keep were moments he documented on social media. Now was no different, it felt like he was dreaming again when he was about to reunite with his niece. No one in the group looked like her which was a little worrying considering that there were only so many girls with glowing eyes. And so the embarrassing parent mode activated. " KLEF! KLEF! OVER HERE!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, catching the attention of someone looking especially patriotic with glowing blue eyes and flushed cheek. That was definitely her, though he found it slightly confusing that she would be embarrassed at a time like this.

The kid wove through the small crowd, making a deliberate effort to bump into half the people there. He was tempted to pinch himself, beyond the one of a kind eyes she was unrecognizable and an utter wreck. Being in a cell for several weeks probably did that to a person, though she looked like she spent a year underground looking malnourished and hair cropped short..\

" What happened to you? " Juniper chuckled, ruffling her hair. Even though she looked more like a nephew than a niece, it was a miracle just to see her at all again. He tried to hold back the waterworks, but seemed to be beaten to it.

" I'm sorry..." She mumbled, burying her head in his chest, sabotaging his shirt with salty tears.

" We're hitting the road in a couple days, there's a guest over now, but he'll be leaving soon."He informed her in the vaguest manner possible, not wanting to freak her out with the B-bomb, the brother bomb that is. She reluctantly nodded along.

" O-ok, as long as I have some time to say goodbye to my friends," Klef replied rather sheepishly, giving Juniper the impression she had something up her sleeve, which was nothing unusual. Though she could have some rather elaborate plan to stay or worse, he was relieved that nothing could be as bad as what happened over the course of the month. The battle was not over yet and soon enough he'd have another set of problems to deal with, but for now he was happy.
